Chase On The Lake

The location is very good close to the cute little town of Walker and lots of beautiful recreation. Parts of it were a little worn, but other parts had been renovated. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was exceedingly nice and friendly.

My only concern was that the bathroom didn’t have grab bars in the shower area and the tub was a little slippery. But I raised this with the desk and they said they were working on fixing it for all of the rooms.

Fantastic place. We will stay again the next time we are in Minnesota.

Beautiful lakeside hotel with private beach and dock. Wish we were staying longer!

While there was wonderful customer service upon arrival and at the 502 Restaurant, the cost and the quality was not a match. When you book a lakeside view room, the first thing you are seeking is a beautiful view of the waterfront. This room had windows that were so 'slimy' it looked like someone licked their hand and smeared them. There were also several design aesthetics that made no sense (i.e. the toilet paper dispenser is a) incredibly low to the ground, and b) was situated directly over (by about 2 inches) the garbage can - I mean?! Who does that?!, that is gave kind of gross - NOT $300+ a night vibe. The hotel is beautifully situated right on the lakefront which is a lovely plus! The vibe is certainly dark and kitschy but without exceptionally clean conditions, don't contribute to the plus column. The dinner we had at the 502 not only had wonderful service, but also great food. The stickiness of the table was kind of gross however. If you want to enjoy the deck, please know that the seagulls will be aggressively joining you!

Close to water easy access to everything

We had a great 3 night stay for the 4th of July. We loved the beach, pool and the surrounding area. Our condo was clean and had plenty of space. We had plenty to keep our group of 11 entertained! The arcade and games were an added bonus. All of the staff we interacted with were nice and helpful. It is a great place for a fun getaway!

I had a total of 3 rooms. The good-staff was mostly friendly. Maybe not knowledgeable-i asked questions about where to rent bikes, if fireworks were cancelled, where to go to see fireworks and they did not seem to know answers. But they were nice about it, so that’s ok! Rooms were not good. One had crumbs in the bed and hair all over the bathroom. The other two were cleanish. My king size suite had food on oven and fridge was not clean but I did not use those options anyways. My high schoolers had one room and it was really loud and they could hear conversations from other rooms. I was on top floor and felt it was pretty quiet. Rooms were dated and all were a bit smelly. The room for my teenagers had a door that got stuck when in bathroom and they couldn’t get out without sitting on the floor and opening with their legs against the wall. Also, the fan fell out of their ceiling when they opened the door to the room. Thankfully they weren’t in the bathroom so it didn’t fall on their heads. But they did have a big hole in the bathroom for the weekend. The worst thing was that the restaurant on site closed down early at 9 pm Saturday July 5. I had been hoping to have a drink on the deck while waiting for fireworks. I don’t really understand closing down early on a weekend. The staff said it was because their bosses wanted them to spend time with their families. As a hotel worker, holiday weekends are busy and if you work in that type of business, it comes with the territory. As a hospital worker, I am the same way and frequently work holidays. It’s expected for the type of work that you do. If you don’t like, don’t work in that type of business. That was weird to shut down and because of that and the other things mentioned, I will not recommend or come back. I gave two stars because the staff was mostly friendly.

only bad part about this property was the parking. very limited . since its in downtown walker. very hard to park a truck and boat trailer.

What I liked about chase the staff were friendly. Bed are okay overall really enjoyed our time in Walker .
