Super 8 by Wyndham Walterboro

The gentleman at reception was very friendly and polite. The room was very dated and especially the bathroom.

The person who checked me in confirmed the kind of room I wanted and gave me the option of which floor I would prefer. The room seemed fairly recently redone. It was very clean. The heater worked well because the night was very cold. The decor was kind of fun. I ran into car trouble and I asked them if I could extend and they were very nice about it and it was no problem. I even got to say in my same room. I'll definitely stay here again if I come through Walterboro.

Nice location and convenient. But no coffee filter for coffee maker overall,not bad.

The room was not what I reserved or paid for. I understand that they had to give me a room set aside for pet owners but instead of a king bed, we had 2 full sized beds and there was no rate adjustment. The room was being cleaned when we arrived, which was fine. We were a little early so I totally understood, and told the maid to take her time. The room was a mess, dresser drawers broken, several dead cockroaches, water damaged ceiling, etc. The toilet was super low and had the wrong sized toilet seat on it. Better bring your own towels because you only receive 2 small, thin bath towels. I chose not to shower there. I'm not going to blame the maid, except for the dead roaches, because you have to work with what you are given and most of the problems are repairs, upkeep. I have pictures that I will try to post. It is not a place I would stay again nor recommend. It also was not cheap. I was charged $20 for having a pet (online it lists $10), so my stay for 1 night was over $90. Way too much.

The property was painted nicely and clean. The toilet did not shut off unless handled was pulled up and moved when sat on. The dresser was beaten up. The beds were comfortable and there AC worked well.

The gentleman checking us in was excellent. The motel was old but was neat, clean and comfortable.

Lots of spider web in the room near the window. Needed to change the sheets (was not changed between clients) in the beds because there was hair and unidentified crumbs, dryed blood. Woke up with many ants in the bed.

Quick Off & On to I-95 for people on their way to/from Florida. Not a lot of choices for meals etc. but within a short drive North or South of this exit for busier areas. Ergo, not a lot of traffic using this exit & rooms away from the Highway are fairly quiet.

Acccomodations were ok but carpeting needed a good cleaning and the sink had no working stopper.
