Super 8 by Wyndham Walterboro

I reserved 3 beds and when I came they only have 2 beds.

This was the nastiest hotel I have ever seen. There was a ceiling tile sitting cockeyed over the bathtub. It was open to the crawl space. Everything needed cleaning. Nothing had been even dusted for a long time just dirty. Not good especially during a pandemic when everything needs to be sanitized. If I wasn’t so exhausted when I got there, I would have gone somewhere else.

The hotel had a rate around 3 stars, but honestly could be minus 3 and that could be very generous. The girl from the front desk was really nice and got me a room even if was 6 am and was super tired; five stars there, but for a windham hotel, the place was really bad, the room was so smelly that even my mask and my hair was impregnated with smoke odor; uncomfortable to sleep and mold in the ceiling. If you are tired and you need, you really need to stop here, I’m sure they can get you a room, but if you have kids or wife, trust me, don’t stop here or in the surrounding areas; go to the next rest zone, is healthy and cheaper.

Very quiet. Hardly any customers. Okay for overnight travel accommodations. Very inexpensive so didn't expect more.

I would like to say I stayed one night with a friend of mine who was traveling to Florida. We pulled over and I booked two rooms and I have to say I was very pleased for this Super 8. I would stay there anytime I’m traveling through the area. It was very clean and was very reasonably priced and well worth the money and stay. I was pleased with our selection for this Super 8

I booked a nonsmoking room and not only were there no nonsmoking rooms even available but the Hotel could not find my registration. After calling Hotels.com i was able to ger my refund, but this was a very inconvenient event.

Booked this room as a one night stop for the night during a long drive for vacation. Booked room for 2 adults and 3 children but was told room was for 2 when I got there so had to pay extra $20 for bigger room. OK, maybe I made the mistake no big deal. Get the room keys and head to the room. This is where it goes all down hill. Room keys didn't work, A/C barely cooled the bed in front of the unit(95+ temp outside) and room had no covers on outlets behind beds. Manager had to let us in and took our keys and said if we needed to leave either leave someone in room or just get let in by person at desk. We decided just to take a short nap and continue home instead of staying the night. The area has plenty of stores/restaurants but hotel needs some attention or maybe it was just the room I was in.

My company had an issue come up where our crew staying here had to leave at 5 PM to go somewhere else for emergency. The staff had thrown all their clothes in a storage bin, was very unpleasant and unhelpful....down right mean. Several items such as work books, slippers, clothes were missing and the very unhelpful and mean staff would not let them look. Very poor service. Will not go here ever again.
