Grainger House Hotel

Room was basic but did what it needed Kettle with tea/coffee etc (extra provided when asked) Additional towels (1 per guest in room) provided when asked Staff were really helpful, tried resolving any issues/queries etc. City centre was easily accessible by the 30/31 bus (£2.50 single ticket, £6 unlimited day travel), bus stop 1 minute walk Uber was from £7, max was we paid £13 (early hours after Saturday night out) Close to amenities (Lidl & small shop next to hotel on main, tucked back a bit)

No bin in the bathroom (one in main room) No towel holder in bathroom Toiletries (1 mini standard shampoo and small soap) No hair dryer in room Room was a bit cold

Couldn’t hear the traffic, probably the best thing about it

No means of card payment, reception lad had to ring his mate to be able to send me a payment link, £10 deposit for the key card, Freezing room, no heating, curtains literally hanging off the rail, wired stains on the walls, carpet burned, dirty. Might be cheap but wouldn’t take an enemy there.. iv had a better room in a police station, looks rough and run down even from the outside, wouldn’t of stayed but I was Donald ducked and being horny got the better of me, lesson learned

Filthy no central heating that was working, this hotel was not cleaned from the last visitors that stayed. do not stay at this hotel.
