Mandarin Oriental, Boston

We love Mandarin Oriental. Ever since our first Mandarin stay, it‘s become my wife and I’s goal to visit every one we can. I can say with confidence that this was the worst of any Mandarin we stayed in. It felt very understaffed while we were there. Breakfast was not good, having messed up our orders in two of our three mornings, and even implied it was our fault for ordering incorrectly. We had to ask for turn down service after they forgot. The bar and lounge was unavailable the whole time, making our credits we get for dining moot. The room was nice, however, and the concierge was very kind and helpful. I shouldn’t say that the staff itself was poor; everyone we interacted with outside of the restaurant was excellent. But the restaurant was subpar, staff too sparse, and amenities too few.

Excellent service started with the valet staff. Check in was fast and professional. Bell staff was prompt and friendly. Ramsey’s Kitchen was spectacular.

Overall quite good experience just that facility in bathroom is quite old and not able to turn off the shower properly and have to call front desk for help. My colleague had opposite problem, can’t turn on shower and have to call for help. It’d be ever better if can have that fixed.

There are very few hotels which offer truly 5 star service, 5 star product, and an atmosphere that’s both friendly and warm. The Mandarin in Boston is truly exceptional. The spa is an added gem where the team goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel cared for. Thank you to a great team!

Helpful staff, even one day we left our do not disturb sign on. They came and cleaned anyway later for us. All helpful.

The luxurious feeling when you enter MO Boston already sets the standards for the rest of stay. The level of service starting with the arrival and assistance from the valet was excellent .
