Old Hall Hotel

The central location was a big plus, very handy for all areas. We enjoyed the breakfast, especially the sausages very tasty.

Unfortunately, there were a few issues with the interior damage, that were crudely taped up. Also such a shame that the painting didn't have more thought to it, being a heritage building, I don't think white paint is the correct colour. Also a shame that the architecture of the ceiling freezes and moulding, were not painted in a stand out colour.

No complaints, to maybe upgrade could reduce the nature of an historic building, and make it too expensive to visit

We were given a family room which was huge,talk about value for money,the location was perfect as we were going to a show at Buxton theatre. The receptionist’s were both friendly and chatty,the other staff in the bar and whilst having breakfast were very young and polite but need to engage more with guests. My only fault is that breakfast offering was a bit dry with it being under the heated lights for so long but all in all a lovely stay and I would recommend the hotel to others and would go back if another show interested me.

The hotel is a bit tired and could do with a lick of paint although I could not fault my room which was clean and comfortable.The breakfast needs to be put out when required and not left to dry out under the hot lights.

Location is excellent, over the road from the Opera House and park. All bedding and towels were spotless and staff friendly

The hotel is very tired now ans would be a huge task to spruce up unfortunately. Bed creaked soooo much that even a cuddle was impossible

Interesting, rambling old building. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed.

Some staff seemed unengaged, did their job but not interacting.

I liked the location. The beds were comfortable as well

I feel the hotel was outdated. The doors on the rooms didn't feel very secure as they were a actual key rather than the usual swipe cards.

Location was excellent, very central. Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was good.

Rooms were tired looking, carpets looked old and worn.

Location is ideal. Hotel within walking distance of everything we came for .Breakfast was nice .

Room was dirty ,carpet was dirty. needs hoovering . Room needs updating . Bar area needs cleaning also , seats were ripped carpets dirty .
