Hilton Salalah Resort

Loved this hotel. My room was fantastic, with a sea view. The room was cleaned to a high standard every day. The staff were generally amazing. The negatives were that the queue at the pool bar was always long. The food was often not hot. Back to the positives, plenty of sunbeds and Oman is very magical. A special thanks to the two Sri Lankan guys, who made my stay that extra bit special. Their friendliness and excellent service, thank you Kavindu and Chamika.

It is a very beautiful hotel with a lobby decorated with oriental elements. The rooms are very spacious and well cleaned. We would particularly like to mention our cleaner, Ujjal Ahmed, a very friendly gentleman who took great care of the details. We found the somewhat limited cuisine to be a disadvantage. Unfortunately, there was hardly any fish (except on seafood night), even though Oman is supposed to have so many fish. This was compensated by the very friendly restaurant staff, and we would like to give a special mention to Ms Imelda and Mr Chamika, who provided excellent service.

We stayed at Hilton Salalah, Oman from 1–8 February 2026, and unfortunately this was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. The most serious and alarming issue during our stay was the presence of bed bugs. We personally observed clear signs of bed bugs in our room, including marks on the mattress, and my wife developed numerous bite marks all over her body. Other guests, including people we know, reported the same problem, and in some rooms the infestation was even worse than in ours. Despite this, the hotel repeatedly denied that there was any bed bug issue. Immediately after returning home, we visited a dermatologist who confirmed that the skin lesions were caused by bed bug bites. We are now going through a costly and stressful process of disinfecting all our belongings, with no certainty that the insects were not brought home with us. This has caused significant psychological stress and anxiety, both during and after the trip. For context, we have visited over 50 countries worldwide and have never experienced anything like this before. This situation is completely incompatible with what one would expect from a hotel operating under the Hilton brand, especially one advertised as a five-star resort. In addition to the above, our stay was further compromised by numerous service-related deficiencies, including: • standards far below those of a five-star hotel, • extremely poor food quality, inconsistent with Hilton brand expectations, • lack of snacks between meals, • rude, indifferent, and disengaged staff, • misinformation regarding room upgrade possibilities, • repeated requests for assistance that received no response, • excessively long waiting times for orders, and • paid food orders that were never delivered. Overall, this hotel failed on basic hygiene, guest safety, service quality, and honesty. We strongly advise future guests to be extremely cautious. This experience has significantly impacted our trust in this property and, unfortunately, in the brand as a whole.

Very clean and long beaches of very fine sand. Facilities are excellent. Staff are very friendly. Specially house keeping staff Murugan was exceptional.

Buffet food to have more vegetarian varieties. Deserts needs to be changed everyday.

Food there is really bad, slow, expensive and not really clean. A lot of flies here and there

Shower area clogged.. ... I wanted to extend for one more night but when reached out to reception they mentioned on getting back to us but seems they were not interested as despite calling multiple times we haven't received any update. Breakfast is another disaster.... felt that a 3 star property serves better breakfast than this place. Seems the place is either under staffed or the staff didn't bother to organise properly.....

Very boring ,same dishes,no variety,we had to request for a different type of food for breakfast as it was relatively the same during our 4 day stay. I have to say that the Chef Dinesh complied with our request
