The Beaufort Inn

It feels as if very little money has been invested in the property. For example, the pillows and bedding were far worse than one could buy at Costco for very little money. The light bulbs were so dark, even though they could have invested in LED bulbs. The curtains were torn and the decor wasn’t fancy (expected) but it was very cheap (unexpected) and extremely drab, not inn charming. As for cleanliness, it was bad. The toilet, sinks, towels and showers were fine, but the bedding, carpet, and curtains were gross. The bathroom walls had drip streaks of something all over the bathroom. I doubt the carpet had been deep cleaned for a very long time. Lastly, the greeting upon check in was lackluster at best; like we were disturbing him. Great unrealized potential in this Inn.

We just love this town and this Inn. It can be a little quirky, however, the charm just keeps us coming back. I cannot wait for our next opportunity to go back. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I think they all need a raise!

The Beaufort Inn is a wonderful historic property that is the perfect spot to enjoy Beaufort- it is close to all the stores and restaurants in the downtown area. The grounds are charming and the breakfast is delicious and unique. They offer cottage rooms that provide privacy and comfort. It was a memorable stay!

Lovely Inn, great location, walk to river, shopping and food! Staff was very friendly and responsive to any needs. Would definitely recommend.

Very small room. Musty smell. One, small and uncomfortable chair for room.

Location to downtown historic Beaufort was great, two blocks away. Eclectic mix of buildings and outdoor sitting areas within the Inn compound was interesting and made for great after dinner get together spots.

Breakfast room was very nice, but very sparse selection of food that the staff struggled to keep stock.

Everything, it was superb! The room decor was beautiful, the whole property was beautiful. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and sweet smelling. Beaufort is a lovely town.

Absolutely nothing!

Perfect spot for a quiet couples getaway. Historic property that’s immaculately kept. We stayed in the cottages, which were spacious, clean and comfortable. Used the complimentary bikes to ride through the beautiful historic district. The inn is just a block from quaint shopping and great restaurants. And we really enjoyed the homemade biscuits at the included continental breakfast. Would highly recommend.

There were no bath matts for the sinks or showers- this made getting out of shower very cold and slippery on wood floors- the breakfast was very minimal and was constantly in need of restocking requiring increase wait time
