Breakfast needed more seating and a little more selection of foods.

Finding The Beaufort Inn when our VRBO fell through saved our weekend getaway. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and I was super surprised to find that such a beautiful and historic property was indeed pet friendly. The property is an entire city block of historic buildings with quiet courtyards and just one block from the quaint shops and restaurants of historic downtown Beaufort. Truly totally walkable and a real treasure. The only place we’ll stay on future trips to Beaufort!

DO NOT STAY HERE! Me and my husband recently attended my neice's wedding at this venue and stayed onsite for 2 days - what a huge disappointment! (I would have left immediately, however, with the wedding there were no other options and we were left with no choice.) Our room was beyond filthy. There was mold on the ceilings in both the room and the bathroom (look at my photos). After the first night I was coughing and had the worst sore throat. The floors were covered in dirt and hair. There was dust everywhere. The doors, coffee maker, lamps, bath tub, shower curtain - just filthy! The toilet ran constantly - he had to keep the bathroom door shut to lessen the noise. We needed to remove the duvet and comforter from the bed as they were filthy and on the last night, my husband found a false eyelash stuck to the side of the bed - I don't wear them! The mattress and box spring should have been thrown out 10 years ago! The TV is pathetic and like everything else, filthy. The housekeeping staff should be fired. Also worth mentioning is the noise in the room. We thought it was the heater so we shut it off only to realize that the furnace for the whole house was just outside our door (room 6). There was also a lot of noise in our room when the room above us was showering. The "included breakfast" is a joke...literally a huge bowl of yogurt that everyone was digging into - not individual containers like you would expect in a public buffet setting - we didn't eat there, I was sick enough from the mold in the room! I tried to text them my issues (as they asked), without response. Honestly, they should be refund my money for the grief and illness I experienced! Hopefully they will do right by me, but I am not counting on it. I don't know how they are passing health inspections but I will continue to warn others about staying there.

Great hotel and staff. Wonderful location and a nice simple breakfast in the morning. Our only issue was that our room was so bright at night, we couldn’t sleep well. Maybe the other rooms were better, it this ruined our stay when everything else exceeded our expectation. Blinds need to make the room dark!
