Crystal Peak Lodge, A Vail Resorts Property

There were no staff since it’s the summer months and they weren’t busy so that’s why I didn’t give excellent. The rooms were amazing, the beds were like clouds you just sink in and fall asleep fast. The rooms have no ac so it was a little warm durning the day but night time we put the fan in the window and slept great. I would stay again. It really was a beautiful condo. We stayed 2 nights.

We loved it

There is no front desk staff at all. There were no instructions emailed or communicated to us at all, that check in would take place at a different location. The room itself was great. Location was fabulous. However after getting home and checking card statements we found an extra charge from the hotel even though we booked through Expedia. Called them to find out what it was. The lady on the line was super condescending “we have been doing this for a long time”. Excuse me, charging an additional resort fee after the fact is something you’ve been doing for a long time. Congratulations to you, you are exactly the snotty kind of person that gives ski resorts a bad reputation.

We've been going to Crystal Peak Lodge for over 10 years now. Only the pandemic, kept us away. Love the place and the facilities at One Ski Hill Lodge.

This property was terrible. There was no staff at our location. I mean NO ONE. We had to check in at another property and then drive an go find our parking spot and room in an entirely different location. The staff at the other property was rude, the food was cold, and the room backed to the gondola pick up station so it was very loud. NONE of this was mentioned in the advertisement. For the price we paid we should have been told that we would have no one working in our entire facility. No doorman, no valet, no front desk, no concierge. NO ONE! Oh and the room had no hot water. DO not stay at this property.

The front desk of this property is still closed, so you actually have to check in at a different hotel nearby. This was the first of a series of inconveniences because the hotel rooms, amenities, restaurants etc. did not all fall under the same owner/management. My refrigerator's ice/water was out of service so I called the 24/7 number to see where I could get ice. At first they said they could bring some up, but when I gave my room number they realized I was at Crystal Peak Lodge and they said they couldn't bring me anything, and suggested I go to the supermarket. We passed an arcade in the same building as the restaurant affiliated with the hotel and my kids got excited. But apparently the arcade belongs to a different hotel so we couldn't check it out. An indoor pool, hot tubs, and a bowling alley are all available, but they're located at the hotel where you check in, a gondola ride away. The whole thing is odd. I'm sure for extended stays it might feel like a fun, quirky adventure, but for a quick trip alone with my two small kids (ages 5 & 6), I found it pretty frustrating. Especially on the last day when we skied after checking out so my kids and I were lugging our ski gear around looking for the "check-in hotel" front desk so that I could get a temporary access card to get my car out of the parking garage of my hotel - a gondola ride away. Not convenient experience I expected for the price. The room was gorgeous and the proximity to the ski-lift was amazing.

Best place to stay when we go snowboarding

Wonderful stay. The only issue was there isn’t any staff at this location. You have to go down to the next location to check in/check out or speak to someone in person during our stay (it may be different later). The resort is beautiful, overlooking the mountains. There is a restaurant on location (Sevens) but for us the menu is limited & the restroom is very far away on another floor, making washing your hands before dinner impossible. Breckenridge has wonderful restaurants in town. There is a shuttle that will take you to Main Street in town. The gondola is right outside to take you to Peak 8 for skiing/snowboarding or to town. The condos are spacious and have everything you need. At over 10,000 ft, I highly suggest getting “Boost Oxygen” cans before going up. Overall, we would highly recommend Crystal Peak Lodge.

We experienced a very disappointing stay at the Crystal Peak Lodge…RM#7008. If you stay here bare in mind it is NOT staffed!! There is no lobby check in and very little attention to guests in this building. Our condo was very run down and there were server also problems as soon as we arrived. Our room did not have a working thermostat and it was 79*+ unless we opened doors or windows… our fireplace would not come on…. After fidgeting with gas and pooled we were able to get it to light once. Then it went off and would not come back one. The TV was not working… lamps in living room would not work on outlet and had to move and plug into different outlets to get light in living room. The dishwasher ran and we were thrilled until we went to unload dishwasher and had to rewatch all dishes by hand. The carpets were disgusting… not a real deal breaker… but seriously cleaning could have been better. To top it all off our room got broke into!! We were took the Gondola to Breck town and when we came back the door jam wood had been broken and we had to call security. Do yourself a favor… spend your money a different property!!!!
