Ich würde das Hotel nicht empfehlen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt in keiner Kategorie. Sehr oft kein Wasser, Küche mässig, allgemeiner Zustand marode.

"Not a happy Stay"

4.0

I was at Tenere from May 30 to June 4, 2015. During all this time, I never had internet on any floor except a very unstable connection at the loby. With the heat (48 - 50 degrees celcius) and dust and lots of winds, all windows were constantly left open so each time I stepped out of my room, there would be a layer of dust on everything. And the air conditioning in my room was leaking while water leaked from the bathroom above my bathroom hence my bathroom and all the towells and toilet paper were a mess all the time. Not too much choice on TV as well. Breakfast choice was minimal and should not be called continental at all. I find the hotel service (Food, etc just too pricy for the quality). I hope they fix up the service because they;ve got a nice building and are spoken about but yet, don't live up to.

"Try to find something else"

4.0

I spend one week in this hotel and I definitely regretted not choosing something else. The average rooms are very poorly furnished, the moskito net on the windows had holes on it, the A/C didn't work and there was no fridge or TV. The door looked to be easy to break. After the first night I moved to a suite ($120/night), which was much better equipped. However if you happen to go there during the rainy season (which is not very long) get prepared to get wet. It rained a few times during my stay and the whole building was literally flooded. Water was coming through the wall and pouring on my bed. Breakfast lacks creativity but eatable.

"Terrible Hotel"

2.0

This place needs a lot of renovation along the way for both the building and the staff. Especially the staff.. and the building. They have newly renovated rooms. And they have very old crappy ones. Price is the same. Good luck

"Good location and that's it."

6.0

Last time in Niamey, I was at the Terminus. This time I stayed at Tenere for 3days in early August. In comparison, nothing stands out between them really. The Hotel just got a fresh coat of paint, but the rooms and decor didn't get the upgrade they so desperately need. The breakfast is bare and other meals manageable but I always say. It's Niamey don't expect anything outstanding. For the budget traveller expecting no luxuries, I guess it's just Ok at a little less than $100/night. It does have a good location though. It's in central Niamey and on the main road going to the Airport.

"Gentiment dépassé mais pratique."

6.0

"Cauchemar a prix eleve!"

2.0

This is a once splendid colonial hotel of the early sixties, from its style, which has had little maintenance or attention for many years. Rooms, ample in size, are very poorly maintained; alarming smell from the bath. On my last night the electricity failed for some three hours, a problem of the Nigerien state, not the hotel, but the hotel has no generator; I had to hurriedly pack in the dark to make my flight. Personnel can be quite friendly, but often to involve the guests in expensive deals. Meals in an empty restaurant, international but far from tasty; bored and negligent waiters. As a result of these problems, the hotel is little frequented by foreign guests, but nearly as expensive as the best in Niamey. It should be avoided if possible.
