Lakesong Resort

Given 2 stars, as I had to compare against other hotels on our trip. We felt that the staff weren't motivated, so were not as friendly as other places. We didn’t feel the breakfasts were of a high standard, so we ventured out to eat elsewhere. The hotel seemed to focus on the grounds more, which in fact are absolutely beautiful. However, it needs to be only part of the package. Otherwise, it would be a goldmine!

Some portions of food at a la carte were too large even for two people. I suggest that they also have a facility of "half plate" of those dishes. The paving of walkways should be more even, because the rugged paving stones make it uncomfortable especially for senior citizens. There are no shops, restaurants, medical stores/facilities, etc., near the resort, where one can buy anything as simple as even a safety pin. This makes it difficult unless one has one's own car or some vehicle.

I stayed at this beautiful resort on 11 January and had booked 2 rooms for my family for 5 adults and 2 toddlers and we had a fantastic experience, the rooms are spacious and the beds are really comfortable, the bathrooms are just the right size only the shower cubicle which is a tad small for people with large built. Right from welcoming to the breakfast the staff was simply amazing especially the restaurant staff who understood the order well and the local kerala delicacies were excellent. This place has a serene view of the backwaters, nice backwater facing restaurant and big lawns and a small play area for the kids to play, in the pictures the property might look old but it is really well maintained. We could experience the spa as all the slots were booked to the capacity. Only a small feedback to the hotel staff, there is a bridge near the boat jetty and a few railings from the same are missing which I feel is a safety hazard for the kids. The sunset from this resort is beautiful, you can sit on the benches and kill hours Thank you for taking care of us and we will be back soon !!!

We had a pleasant stay at Lakesong Resort, Kumarakom. The rooms were excellent—clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The service also deserves special mention; the staff were courteous, responsive, and made sure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. However, the food was below average and did not meet the expectations set by the quality of the rooms and service. There is definite room for improvement in terms of taste, variety, and overall dining experience. Overall, Lakesong Resort is a great place to stay for comfort and service, but improving the food quality would make the experience truly exceptional.

The resort is beautifully done up. The facilities were good, the staff is excellent. They organised sightseeing for us very well.

Vegetarian options at the restaurant had no local food options. It could be nice to have vegetarian Kerala food options too, showcase the local food.

מיקום נהדר על המים, תעלות פסטורליות חוצות את הדשא, ברבורים מסתובבים על המדשאות. צוות מסביר פנים, ספא איורוודי נהדר במקום. עשינו מספר טיפולים מושלמים. נעים, נוח, רגוע מאד. חדר גדול ומרווחה עם נוף על תעלות המים והדשא.

האוכל במסעדה טעים אך אין בכלל בחירה שאינה אוכל הודי. קפה לא ממכונת קפה כך שאין אספרסו, קפוצ'ינו לארוחת בקר. במחיר כזה אפשר שתהיה מכונת קפה לאנשים שכל כך אוהבים קפה טוב בחופשה. מים לא מאוד חמים במקלחת.

Staff were fantastic, Tony and front office team was fab.. Jayadeep from restaurant is a star .. loved the stay and definitely will return
