Homewood Suites Fort Wayne

I brought my family, and initially I put how many if us there are. We have 7. Our room was fine. However i dont feel that there was any planning in our stay. The shampoo and conditioner were empty, there was a blond hair in the shower. Not ours. There werent enough sheets or pillows for all of us. I thought that was the point in letting them know ahead of time there are 7 of us. But thankfully the front desk lady brought up a sheet set, blanket and another pillow. Otherwise we only stayed a night and it was suitable. We may try another place next time. As a side note, get to the breakfast early, because they run out of stuff quickly.

Sadly, this property seems to allow their employees to steal from guests and the general manager won't even respond to customer inquiries. The property itself was fine, though awkward to get to off the highway. The suite met our needs and breakfast was decent. Notably, it was a quiet room, despite being near the elevator. The problem was we left something behind in the room. We called the same day we checked out and specified exactly where the item was left (within the room). The front desk folks said to call back the next day and they'd check with the cleaning staff. But despite repeated calls throughout the week following, and being forwarded to the general manager, we never received a resolution beyond "we didn't find anything". Can't recommend a property managed by a person who won't return a call from a customer and allows theft on the property without so much as a follow up.

Nice stay

It was easy to find the room and for the most part it was quiet. My room smelled a little weird, maybe because it was a pet friendly hotel. Overall it was a very nice stay, room was clean and comfortable.

Booked this hotel through a military specific website more than a month prior to my stay. When I went to check in I was told it was over booked and I was moved to a nearby Garden Inn. I booked the Homewood Suite specifically for the kitchenette and full refrigerator because my wife and 12 month old son were coming to stay later in the week. The room I was moved to had ZERO kitchenette and a refrigerator the size of a literal small lunch cooler. My wife had to cancel the visit because there was no where to store frozen breast milk or cook a meal for my small family, there would have been had I gotten the room I booked originally. I’ll never for the life of me understand how a hotel can “overbook”. If someone smarter than me can explain it the. Be my guest.
