Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin

A beautiful spot in Rincon de la vieja. We only really did the hot springs and some waterfall walls, but had we been there longer I know we would have done everything else too.

Staff was friendly and the property had so many things to do.

Stayed here for 2 nights and did the All day Adventure. Very much like staying at a Motel, room was not very nice, so in that case it was way overpriced.

Ahhhhmazing

Our stay was great. The property is beautiful. Service friendly and helpful. One area of improvement would be the free shuttle - it needs to be updated. It was an old school bus and a very long bumpy ride to attractions. I did appreciate that the adventure centre could arrange for private cars but it costed additional $15usd to get to each place on the property or national park (then $15 usd back).

Charming, beautiful grounds, close to the volcano, waterfalls, hot springs, pretty pool area with volcano views. Drawbacks were that it was remote enough to make it hard to dine elsewhere and even though all of the food is grown and cooked on the grounds, we really liked some dishes and really didn’t prefer others.

Dissapointint

This was the final leg of our trip to Northern West Costa Rica. It was nice to settle down at Hacienda Guachepelin knowing we could just stay put for a bit. The Hotel is right next to the entry to Ricón de la Vieja National Park. It is on extensive grounds and has beautiful views and many activities including tubing, horseback riding, zip-lining, hiking and relaxing in hot springs and waterfalls. We took an easy guided horse back ride to La Oropendola Waterfall which is an impressive 25 meters. We also visited the hot springs, but were less impressed, the pools were somewhat murky and too hot for the day so we did not stay long. We took a short hike to additional waterfalls near the hot springs, which was nice. Breakfast was included in our stay which was good and appreciated. We also had dinner at the main restaurant which was fine. Our hotel room was basic but very comfortable.

Beautiful property with easy access to tons of activities. The staff was amazing. Would highly recommend.
