The staff were very friendly. The breakfast meals prepared by the cook were delicious. The location was just a short walk to the beach.

I love the fact that the place has such a significant local history and the owners appreciate that and highlight it when possible. The location is superb and it is reasonably priced, not to mention extremely homey. (Wasn't prepared for that last part, but will when stay here in the future, which I definitely will.)
It was nice staying at this inn. Breakfast was good and snacks provided that was included the price was great. The shower stall was a bit narrow as the shower head was not adjustable to move. Need more plugs in the room.
Understand that this is a historic property built in the late 1800s so the design and construction of the rooms and building in general, is quite dated and limited (small rooms with narrow corridors and limited bathroom and plumbing construction and design. Breakfast was so-so also. On the other hand, prices were lower than many of the area lodgings but if you value the location more than anything else, then it is a good value. But if you value comfort and amenities, then you get what you pay for.
Good: Location. In an area perhaps one half mile square that has been a resort since the late 1800s. Area is a peninsula heavily built with houses, Very much a resort feel. Access to free drinks in main floor kitchen. Less good: Property built in 1883. That could be a positive but is less so because the property has not been kept up well. Every thing works but much seems to have been done in a haphazard way.
