The Kala Samui

My Fiancé and I spent 5 days at the Kala and it was wonderful! It's tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Lamai and Chaweng but still only 10 minutes in either direction. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with amazing views overlooking Chaweng. The bed and pillows were a little tough but manageable. The food and drinks are top notch but you pay $$$. There are a few good options in walking distance for more reasonable prices if you dont want to blow your wad. I would definitely return to the Kala though. Especially seeing as I was proposed to down on the rocks early on Valentines Day :). Oh, one more thing is the people. All of the employees are so warm and helpful!!

If you want a quiet boutique resort experience, then the Kala is for you. Personal attention, friendly helpful staff, a great location away from the noise is what this place is all about. Highly recommend the pool villa.

Was very beautiful and tranquil place to stay. I was a little shocked how run down it looked, especially all the concrete. Looks way more older and worn, compared to the picture on which I booked this hotel on! Lots of tragic just outside the door, but you can hardly hear it. However, it is not near any real shops or restaurant, hard to walk anywhere from that hotel without risking your life walking on the road. Had to take taxi's and took-tooks everywhere, which are a bit costly. The rocks and ocean which the hotel overlooks is so beautiful... I was pregnant and didn't realise how many stars there would be! There is a lot, so beware!

A really nice place to stay in Koh Samui! All the rooms have a beautiful view to the beach, the staff were super nice, and the breakfast although not included was really good. The spa was amazing and the infinity pool looking to the ocean was awesome. It is a perfect place for romance.

This is a nice quiet little hotel, very safe, well kept rooms with great views over the sea and bay. Breakfast is a must as you are a bit remote, there are plenty of taxis but it can get a little costly. Pool/Cocktail Bar was a little over priced, which meant there was no atmosphere as people simply went elsewhere or brought their own. Staff were very friendly, just ask and they will get it for you. Hotel transport was not very flexible, if you were the only ones going to either Lamai or Chaweng there could easily have been a decision to go elsewhere rather than just here at 11 or there at 1600.

Beautiful ocean front view, nice garden and facilities. Away front crowd and party noise, good location if you drive or just want a qiete gate away. Bathroom of my dulexy room 224 is too small, your head touch the opposite wall, and aur condition is a bit noisy. But all at all, we had a lovey stay and nice service.
