The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm

Everything was superlative. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. The food was superb and the atmosphere was charming. Everyone was hospitable and we felt very welcomed. Cannot wait to go back

This inn is beautiful and the embodiment of New England charm! I stayed here during a conference at Dartmouth and I am so glad that I did. My room was large, well-kept, and beautiful, breakfast was well-balanced and delicious, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. We got in late and they left a note on the door with instructions for collecting our keys and information on breakfast in the morning. The property is beautiful and remote with plenty of space to relax, while also being centrally located to enjoy the best that Vermont has to offer. I'm already planning on coming back with my partner for one of their winter packages!

Stayed one night on our way back home to NY from Maine. Wonderful old building with eerie history. Ask for the book about the hauntings. Very interesting although we never got to experience any sightings. We were upgraded to a King room which was very nice orher than waiting 10 minutes for hot water but wasn't a big deal. Dinner we had (filet mignon) was fantastic and our waiter/waitress combo were awesome. Beautiful small Vt town.

The hotel gives great warm ambience. We really appreciated the warm and hardy breakfast that was made in-house from fresh ingredients. The room was big and very comfortable. We would definitely return here and recommend to friends. However, the hotel lacks proper maintenance and cleanliness. The sink was clogged and we had to pull out the sink stop for the water to drain, which pulled up a lot of hair. We also found hair in the bed and one of the pillow case was so dirty and stained that we removed it from the bed. Mold in the caulkings left a dirty impression of otherwise a great hotel. Be aware and travel light when coming to this hotel. This hotel does not have an elevator and the stairs are very narrow.

I visit the Quechee Inn frequently. It is in a scenic part of Vermont, so local drives and walks are rewarding. The inn rooms are somewhat worn, but they are comfortable and well maintained. I enjoy the restaurant and bar in the evening. The complimentary breakfast is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a lot to see and do in nearby Woodstock. The Simon Pierce glass works are nearby and worth a visit to observe glass blowing up close.

The rooms need to be updated

Pros: very friendly staff, absolutely amazing breakfast, very quiet Cons: slower had a lot of mold in it. Bed was very uncomfortable (felt like a trampoline)

Lovely inn, beautifully run. Very pleasant staff. Beautiful grounds. We had an exceptional dinner there, duck for me and steak for my husband. A delicious shrimp appetizer. Only disappointment, we were unable to find room for the home made cheesecake which everyone loved! Next time!

Beautiful property and large spacious room

The inn is a nice place to stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at their restaurant & it was excellent. The morning breakfast buffet was just ok with not a big selection of items. The room was small but clean. The bed was adequate, just not as comfortable as you'd expect. My major comment deals with the bed coverings. The comforter was very old and a dingy dark gray. It appeared to be clean but really didn't make you feel that way. I know the building is very old, but some updated furnishings would go a long way.
