Aloft by Marriott Richmond West Short Pump

1. The woman at the front desk is amazing. Management left her with two sports teams checking in late at night and bad news to deliver to all of them. She had no support. 2. We arrived with a family. We booked two queens. We were given one king bed and a noisy air mattress. 3. The person sleeping on the air mattress was given one sheet. The four overworked woman at the front desk had to run up and give us pillows and blankets. 4. We were on the 5th floor and the light from the hallway illuminate our room which isn't a big deal but when someone has to sleep on the floor it's right in their eyes. 5. There's only one overhead light in the whole place and no light in the bathroom so you're either going to the bathroom in the dark in the middle of the night or waking up the entire room. 6. The shower leaks into the bathroom.

The location is great!

No pool-website said there was one. Breakfast was paid-website said included Under construction-not mentioned Things halfway fixed in the room

Under renovation yet no disclosure but charged full rates. Imagine my surprise upon arrival. Waited at check-in for staff to finally show up from who knows where. Look elsewhere for accommodations. The brand should do better.

The person that checked me in was very nice and pleasant.

Great hotel option in a very walkable area with several restaurants close by. Driving distance to local stores. Very quiet neighborhood at night although the hotel itself is not so quiet. You can hear everyone in the hallways and adjoining rooms. Plenty of free covered parking.

It was under construction so lobby area was a bit dusty.

Convenient and safe

Problems with the air temperature. Air conditioner was not working. We were uncomfortable and hot. Technician was not available. We were told the hotel was sold out and we could not be moved. We were to stay 2 nights and left after the first night.
