Hotel Makarios

Pleasantly surprised as to how comfortable our stay was considering the price we paid. The room was a great size with a stunning new shower room. Only criticism is the bar staff were a little under trained. Overall the stay was enjoyable.

Check in and out fast and friendly. Very good advice and assistance about access to, and things to see and do. Room very clean and spacious with large balcony. Bathroom had modern decor. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Excellent public transportation services. Recommended.

My wife and I loved this Hotel! What more could you ask for? Clean rooms, courteous staff, and great beach. The location is not directly near all the shops or restaurants, but it's only a 10 minute walk to the center. We always felt safe, even when walking back in the night. The breakfast was pretty basic, although that's what we expected. Kamari is a nice place to relax, eat, drink, and play! We felt right at home.

I was collected from the airport by a very friendly member of the hotel staff,my stay at the and hotel and the island was a wonderful experience.I will go again with family and friends

Read previous comments on trip advisor which left me with a little trepidation. Yes the airport is very close, so there is noise from planes. That can be said about every hotel in Kamari though. The hotel is spotlessly clean but what makes it like a home from home are the staff. You receive a very warm welcome from Pedros on reception who takes an interest in all guests and will assist with everything from the carrying of luggage, to organising trips/quads, etc. He'd remember where we were going each day and always asked about our experience. Two other members of staff must be mentioned being Penelope and Dimitris. These 2 are assets to the hotel and always served us with lovely smiles and attentiveness. We were reluctant to leave affect 14 nights. A lovely, warm, friendly hotel with the owner and his family always around making us feel at 'home'.

Rude hotel staff, poor facilities- especially broken tiles in bathroom- hazardous especially when showering with bare feet. Pool was good. Breakfast served was good with large variety. Would not recommend stay here to anyone though.

Expensive drinks and not a good selection on all inclusive drinks.Cleanliness very good, close to airport but no problem with noise at all,The staff especially Petros on reception cannot do enough for you. 15mins walk to town which has plenty shops and good restaurants.

It's got a nice pool area and good amenities, airport noise wasn't too bad. They advertise wifi in all rooms but is not the case if you get a room that's too far away as we did. Their wifi is slow anyways in the common areas and their hot water was like warm most of the time

We knew the Hotel was close to the Airport so we were expecting a bit of Aircraft noise. Airport quiet at night so no problem sleeping. We were only on a Bed & Breakfast package to take full advantage of the numerous restaurants in town.The Hotel was spotlessly clean towels and bed linen changed every day. Air Con and Room Safe provided at no extra cost.

My daughter and I spent 3 nights All Inclusive at the Makarios. The hotel is a good 15 minute walk from the main area of Kamari, but that suited us. It is virtually the end of the airport runway but the noise wasn't particulary intrusive day or night. The room was clean and comfortable, however, as mentioned by others the shower area is very small. Breakfast was typically cereal, bread, jams, juice, coffee, yoghurt and fruit. Lunch and dinner menus were varied and we never went hungry. The staff were always polite and helpful. I would happily return to this hotel.
