Hotel Makarios

Me and my partner cam here and booked last minute to stay in Kamari for 4 nights, super easy to contact after hours if your flying in late after hour check in with the airport transport needed. The hotel was very nice, super friendly staff and always there to help your experience in Santorini. The beach, shops and restaurants is only 10min walk down. It is also nice and quite hotel if you dont want to be close to Kamari town. Catching the bus is easy! It is only right in front of the hotel to get to Fira that comes every hour or walk into town to catch the bus every 20mins if you miss the bus in front of the hotel goes straight to Fira. The staff there are friendly and super nice, the owner gave us a map around Kamari and gave easy directions where to go around Kamari and where the buses go to and from Fira. In the near future I would definitely come back here again and thank you for letting us stay!

We were welcomed by Pedros the owner after our late flight arrival. First impression was very nice, the hotel lobby was spacious and welcoming with plenty of sofas to sit and relax. Our room was nice with Bunks for the kids and a lovely balcony with a view of the stark hills of Santorini. Our bed was rather hard though. The all inclusive package was magic. The Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided in the nice restaurant area near the pool was great. A lovely buffet style setup with something different everyday. The pool bar serves selected unlimited beer, wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee as part of the all inclusive, so was nice to laze by the beautiful pool and have plenty of your choice of beverage. They also served toasties as a snack between meals. The pool area was fantastic. We loved the setting with the Mediterranean in the background (beach about 5 minute walk). We were close to the airport runway approach, however the aircraft didn’t deter from our relaxation at all. Close to Kamari shopping as well. Some nice boutiques and lots of souvenirs, bars and restaurants. Loved it!

Quiet hotel 10 minutes walk to beach, airplane is landed morning and afternoon because the airport is nearby.Very good food, all inclusive.Easy travel to Fira and Oia.

This hotel is sooo underrated! In my opinion this was an amazing hotel. The service was amazing and the owner Mario was very helpful in setting up tours and getting a rental last minute. Don't be shy ask Mario where to go and what do to - it felt like he was our personal guide. The all inclusive it is the way to go. The food was good breakfast, lunch & dinner - If your a wine person you'll love it!!

The desk help was outstanding! the pool very large and relaxing. I would choose to eat elsewhere!!!

Enjoyed our weeks stay , our room was probably there smallest balcony only a chair width with sea view yes you can see the sea about 1/4 mile away. That said very friendly staff and helpful. Rooms very well kept fresh towels daily great shower in our room. Food was more Greek traditional which I enjoyed It was all inclusive this was different to my other all inclusive stays drinks 10am to 10pm only and no spirits except raki & ouzo. Bus to Thera £1.80 euros excellent bus stop outside hotel also go,s to airport. Kamara tipically Greek & Thera is stunning great views and shopping etc. Overall very enjoyable holiday would recommend to friends etc. Ps The Aircraft taking off & landing didn't bother us at all it's says 10 mins away from Airport it is drive wise but end of runway about 300 yards.

Food was ok, beds could be updated though, like sleeping on the floor.

Good experience at Hotel Makarios. Warm welcome, not a hi-end hotel but everything is there and the friendly staff is making such a plus. Walking distance to the beach front with all the restaurants, close enough to the airport, it is the perfect location is you have an early flight.

Very clean and well kept rooms. Manager is very helpful. All inclusive is very limited. Non hotel restaurants and bars about a 15 minute walk away.

Just back from a stay here. All inclusive is limited so don't go thinking you won't need to spend. All staff at the hotel are very friendly especially the older man on reception (Pedros I think his name was) don't know when he slept because he was nearly always about!! Anything you needed to know he would know it!! Could be a Santorini tour guide..... On flight path of airport, good watching the planes so close going over and you could actually see them land from our small balcony Approx 10 minutes walk to beach and lovely restaurants and bars. All in all lovely little place to stay
