"Highly Recommended !!!!!!!"

8.0

The hotel staff was very friendly. They were so courteous and quick to pick us up from our room and take us to the lobby /restaurant quickly (the distance from our room and the lobby was about a 3 minute ride in the go cart) The wifi in the lobby area was reliable, however, not in the room. The room was an EXCELLENT price (we paid $80 a night) and the room was more like an apartment!! Granite countertops in the kitchen, refrigerator, his and her sink in the bathroom, comfortable bed and sheets, I couldn't be more please with the cleanliness, space, and amenities of the room. The beach area belonging to the hotel was a tiny small little stretch that seemed more like a lake environment than a beach area. Wasn't impressed at all. The location of this hotel is about 10-15 minutes from Coco Beach, awesome little town!!!

"Nice setting for a budget conscious get away"

6.0

The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcomed throughout our stay. We didnt have any issues with the security of our possessions, as we read in reviews of similar hotels. The rooms were a bit outdated, but given the affordability, it met our expectations. Though the bed was uncomfortably firm and the hot water was intermittent in the shower. The hotel food was surprisingly good, but somewhat pricey compared to excellent restaurants in the area. The pool water did not appear to be very clean though the staff vacuumed the debris every morning. The hotel beach and nearby public beach was very murky without much sand (mostly rock) and was llittered with garbage. Playa Hermosa, just down the street did offer a more inviting beach. Overall, we enjoyed the little time we did spend at the hotel before and after our planned outings to visit the surrounding national parks. The view from our balcony into the surrounding canopy was quite nice to observe the birds and occasional monkey while we enjoyed our morning coffee or afternoon Imperial in between various excursions we went on.

"Quiet and relaxing"

8.0

Vista Bahia was a very nice hotel and our stay was excellent. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. The access to the beaches was easy and quick, though it is a little hike down on a short trail. There is really no clear view to the ocean from the rooms, at least the one I stayed in. There were lots of birds and monkeys on the trees and the abundance of trees provided a lovely shade all the time. The rooms had split AC units which worked really well. I was really looking forward to using their kayaks and when I asked about them, they told me these were not available anymore, but I still managed to use them when I talked to a different person. They were actually quite friendly about them and they set them up for you on the beach at the agreed time. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly, polite and professional. On a Sunday night, there seemed to be only one waiter/bartender at work at the restaurant and there was a little wait towards the end. In general, our stay (a family of 5 people) was very relaxing and pleasant.

"Nice hotel with a great private beach for relax."

8.0

If your plan is to relax and forget about the routine and the world, this is your place to stay. If you are looking for action, party, night life, don't even think about this hotel or this location, go to San Jose instead. But this hotel is excellent to unwind, to disconnect, enjoy a deep relaxation and be in contact with nature. I loved the housekeeping service too. Effective and efficient. The only thing I would change would be the towels, they are very old, some with holes and that really damage the image of the hotel. Also provide dish soap and tools for cleaning the kitchen, I know they provide housekeeping service that does the general cleaning, but when people use the kitchen it would be nice being able to clean dishes right after that and don't let them there until next day for the maid. The hotel is immaculate, I love that I encountered wildlife at every step. The trails that take you from the room to the little private beach are wonderful,. I saw monkeys, iguanas, beautiful and diverse birds, and at the beach I saw a turtle and many fishes. The experience was very nice. The staff was really friendly and the hotel offers a connection to do some tours and I highly recommend the "Borinquen" tour. They take you to a super secluded natural reservation where you ride horses to a top of a mountain, then take zip lines down to enjoy a delicious lunch and finish the day relaxing with volcano mud and hot spring pools. After that you will feel amazing.

I enjoyed my stay here. The beach was okay, but the nearby beaches to the south were prettier, Hermosa, Coco, etc.

"Nice Hotel"

8.0

Hotel was very nice, friendly staff, however the kitchen was running out of product... we could not have a cheese burger in an entirely week. They say they were out of meat etc... The taxi ride to Coco beach is $14 usd each way... so if you are prepared to eat whatever is left in the kitchen you will be fine. The hotel lacks of a gift shop, so if you forget your toothpaste you have to pay $14 usd to get into town. Overall we enjoy the stay..

"Nice place, very accommodating staff"

10.0

We stayed here for two weeks and had a great stay. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The location is a little off the beaten path, but it was peaceful, quite and very enjoyable. Not a party scene, but that was exactly what we wanted. We took public transportation while we stayed here with no problem...you can easily take the bus to Hermosa or Coco beaches or all the way to Liberia if you are so inclined. We would definitely stay here again.
