Parade Park Bath

Awesome location, good sized room, friendly staff, nice breakfast

We arrived and the service at check in was great, no complaints here, he gave us a map and recommended places to go in Bath. We made our way up to the room. En route it was very noticeable that the place was run down - broken spirals on the staircase, run down & dirty carpets and damp on the walls, there was also a strong smell of smoke. When we entered our room, it was very small, nothing but a bed and a small en suite bathroom. The walls were covered in damp and smelt so stuffy that we opened the window as soon as we entered. I booked this hotel, and had to show my husband why I booked it. Logged into hotels.com to show him the photos which looked far better than the actual. We debated leaving early and not even to stay but in the end we had to, we just left first thing the next morning. We weren’t asking for much, just a basic hotel for the night but this place was so poorly maintained and not as it is suggested in the photos. We actually felt conned. Would not recommend.

Perfect position in the city. It’s a shame that the fixtures and fitting were so tired and the club below was so noisy. The ear plugs in the room should have been a clue. If you just want a bed for the night It’s fine but don’t forget your sleeping pills.

Good afternoon, My family and I stayed at your JW room on the evening of 8th Feb, reference 8140161615320. We were on our way to a wedding at the Roman baths so the location was perfect for us, and very excited about our stay as we have never been here before, however, Our welcome wasn't the warmest to start, the gentleman that served us was quite direct and cold and like he couldn't be asked to serve us, he took my card information even though I paid it full weeks in advance, I was not aware my card would be used again for holding fee. As we entered our hotel room (understanding it's age and build was from a time ago) we were a bit taken back to the upkeep of the room. (I will be including pictures), the kettle would not reach the plug socket so we had to make tea and coffee on the floor, the windows let in every bit of wind, and noise, so all night long the doors banged and creaked, the bathroom was dirty I had to clean the sink and toilet myself before it was used by my children. For the amount we payed, we expected cleaner considering the area of bath, we found the room really grubby and work down, was really quite devastating, as we were looking forward to going to a timeless hotel and spot, it does not look like it was on your website. It needs a desperate revamp, and the windows a major TLC, .luckily my boys are older also as there was no locks or safety catch on any window so would highly recommend no family with young children to be left to wonder unsupervised.

The location was excellent, but just that, the room was very big but was in horrible condition, there was somebody else socks in the wardrobe

What a lovely hotel! It is very centrally located. The staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast was served in a beautiful dining area, and the rooms were very roomy. We loved it here.

Lovely place to stay, very close to the centre but ask for a room at the back of the building. Our only downside was we had a room at the front which has no double glazing to block the sounds of a very drunk & hysterical female below our window from 2 to 3 am, screaming & shouting, or that of her friends having fun further along the pavement.

Nice view from room. Extremely noisy at night..couldn’t sleep, noise from road and nightclub next door until 3am. Ear plugs (they were provided) sadly did were not effective in blocking out noise. No warning of this upon check-in or any mention of nightclub near the hotel. Think the hotel could have been more transparent and forewarned guests before taking their money. Very disappointed. Hotel manager was not in the slightest bit interested that I hadn’t been able to sleep until after 3am. 😡

Staff was friendly, location was great (very close to the train station, key places and Christmas market), room was very clean (although hotel is a bit old), breakfast had all we needed, our luggage was safely stored before check-in and after check-out. Only minor issue (very specific to us with little kids) was the second room (for the kids) had stairs to access the main room, so in the end they had to sleep with us (not a problem at all, just if I knew I would have taken one room only).

Excellent place and service deffo recommend it always !
