Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbia

Clean. Nice room, bed and sheets and bathroom. Fairly spacious. Near the highway. Price was fairly good compared to some other hotels around town. Breakfast was nice, but ends at 9 or 9:30 (weekends)

Coffee maker was broken. Lamp was broken. No housekeeping, but that’s ok (I didn’t know it was once every 3 days). Our room was by the elevator and so much banging around noises. (Bring some white noise) Folded the pillow for more support

Do not book here if you want to actually keep your reservation. I booked 11 months in advance for homecoming weekend and a “glitch” overbooked the hotel. They arbitrarily canceled my room, with ZERO notification. I had to find it accidentally while I was in the app. No explanation, no communication, nothing. Absolutely terrible customer service. I spoke with Vinay on the phone and he LIED to me and said that Marriott canceled the room, but Marriott confirmed that the HOTEL canceled the room. They refused to do a single thing and now there are absolutely no rooms in Columbia for homecoming. Obviously. I’m a lifetime Marriott gold member and once my points have been used I will never stay in a Marriott property again. I travel extensively for work. This hotel has destroyed Marriott’s reputation for me and I’m never going back. How can you trust that your reservation will be there when you’re ready to check in? You can’t. Book elsewhere.

TVs did not work.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was well stocked each morning.

The only positive about our stay here was the gentleman at the front desk. Our first room was in terrible shape. Broken lamp fixture, curtains were partially torn off the track, the microwave had not been wiped down, and towels that were starting to fall apart. Every light source had a different lightbulb giving off different temperatures of light and the room was tiny with oddly tall ceilings. The front desk attendant was very kind and moved us to a different room which was in better repair and cleaner, however I would not stay here again.
