Hotel by the Red Canal

A great stay at a cozy hotel. Wonderful service and people. A little dark if you don't have one of the rooms facing outward-might be best to request such a room. The people are beyond hospitable and helpful in all aspects of our stay. They are really the reason the hotel is so well liked. The restaurant is also very good and the happy hour for guests and free use of bicycles is appreciated!

Absolutely amazing stay from start to finish. The staff were so kind and helpful to our every request and the view from the balcony was just stunning. I would definitely stay here again if I was to return to Mandalay.

Great stay, staff incredibly nice and helpful! Close to the main temples, to the palace and Mandalay hill. The pool is perfect to chill out after a long day of visits.

This is a beautiful hotel with an excellent staff and an excellent restaurant. Highly recommend it if you visit Mandalay.

Staff was very attentive, had an issue with a sink, they fixed it within 10 minutes. People working there were really nice, treated me like royalty. Food a bit more expensive, but really good and nice portions. Definitely would stay there again. A little oasis in the midst of hectic Mandalay surrounding.

We loved this place. At first the neighbourhood looked a little out of the way but we soon realised it was perfect. The locals are gorgeous, it is a short bike ride to all the key places, and it was quiet. It is clear that the management and staff all work together to create a lovely atmosphere. Free bikes to ride to the sights, complimentary cocktails at happy hour, more than daily room checks,etc. Thaw and Chit were great at front of house, ensuring nothing was a problem. We found his much nicer than the flash resort that we stayed in at Bagan. My husband enjoyed his massages and the hotel restaurant had great food. It was a fabulous base from which to explore all of Mandalay.

This is a high quality hotel, very clean, extremely helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was varied and delicious. I would recommend anyone to stay here, if visiting Mandalay!

Hotel offers free afternoon teas and snacks,and in the evening free cocktails by the pool with traditional harp playing, away from buzzy crowd outside,very nice. All the staffs are very polite,smiley speak good English,very helpful.
