Villa was spacious with its own private pool. Very nice grounds, private pool, walking area around resort, very safe. We had some noisy neighbors but that’s no one’s fault. We had a great time, lovely hosts, left is a great snack bag!
What a fantastic place. Ocean views of both Gulf and Atlantic. Two bedrooms and 2 full baths with a half bath downstairs. Everything is very close by. We didn’t go without anything on this trip. We received a care package with many goodies and snacks upon arrival. Our host was great. I can’t wait to Visit again. Thank you for the amazing experience.
The resort itself was lovely, clean, and beautiful. We were unfortunately unable to utilize the pools, Due to the air BnB host affiliation, we could not even self pay for the resort pools. something to be aware of when booking this resort.We had a great excursion snorkeling and sandbar swimming with Sole water sports, and highly recommend the trip. Had a nice massage in the Spa. It was a lovely facility.
USPro’s - location - balconies and pool - front curb appeal - proximity to marathon/islamorada - stocked kitchen - new washer and dryer Con’s - Broken floor tiles - moldy furniture cushions - living room furniture falling apart with exposed nails - minimally maintained backyard/deck with exposed pool heater - air vents visibly filled with “debris” Overall, I’ll never forget duck key. Great trip. But it’s my first time putting sheets on furniture to sit down in someone else’s home.
First the good stuff: the house is in a nice resort neighborhood, on a canal that leads to the ocean, with a boat slip. It’s roomy, and was clean, with space for multiple families to stay together. It has a decent sized kitchen, so you can cook. The resort has a small market and 3 restaurants. Now the negatives: YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE COMMUNITY BEACH OR POOL, because this is a private rental. If you want to use the amenities of the resort, you must rent through Hawks Caye directly. You are not allowed to swim or fish in the canal. The kitchen was not well equipped. We had to go out and buy some cooking pans because the ones they provided were not sufficient or in good shape. The blender didn’t work. The dishwasher worked poorly and we had to rewash. The sink looked like it was about to fall through the counter. The ceiling downstairs showed leakage and we were told not to fill the bathtub because of the leaks. A lot of the floor tiles were cracked and loose.
