Hampton Inn & Suites - Mansfield

Room was nice and spacious, we had a suite. Hallways are not air conditioned and very hot and smell. “Gym” was full of conference room chairs stacked literally everywhere and was completely unusable.

I love the location of the hotel. And the rates were pretty decent.

The staff was not one the same page with communication and dealing with issues. We literally had a shitty situation, with the children of guests above my room flooded their bathroom all night long and leaked down to my room. While at the front desk notifying the staff about what’s happening, the power goes out at the hotel. Two of the employees had a argument with each other right in front of me. The staff attempted to help by putting us on the 3 floor, but I had 2 elderly family members, myself, my baby, my dog, my little sister, and several bags/luggage. We ended up having to leave earlier than expected. I also called twice after we got back to our hometown. Both times I was told that someone will reach out to me and to provide my information, and I never received a call, email or any response. Our experience here was very poor and I would never stay at any Hampton Inn hotels.

We stayed at this location for almost two weeks. The 1st room definitely needed some TLC. Lindsey was able to get our family in a bigger room which was perfect. As far as the staff, Lindsey was so helpful and always at the front desk! The night guy was helpful and also at the front desk. If you needed anything in the afternoon you would have to hunt them down. Michael works in the breakfast area and was very helpful and attentive. They stored some GF bagels for my girls that needed to stay in the refrigerator. (The mini fridge wasn’t big enough.) The fitness room was still under construction. The washer and dryer wasn’t working and the upkeep of the pool area was sad.

The gentleman that checked me in was extremely friendly and engaging. The young lady that checked me out was very polite and even offered to make me a “to go” breakfast bag since I didn’t have time to eat. Very comfortable, clean, and a quiet room.

The front desk staff were excellent, especially LaRon. Very accommodating and helpful. It would have been nice, however, on the hotel listing, to note that the hotel was under renovation (much needed!) It will be a very nice place once updates are done, but for now, it is overpriced for the condition of the facility. We stayed 9 nights and rec'd towels once upon request and never saw a maid. We had to put our trash out in the hallway and even though we requested maid service to change the bed linens and towels, no one ever showed up and we were told housekeeping was gone for the day when I called them mid afternoon. Very frustrated with that.

Clean, comfortable, convenient, decent pricing, nice & friendly staff.

The room stunk of a fishy odor. Price different from prior booking total. No one was available at the front counter multiple times to check in & out.
