The Village Lodge

Beautiful resort with all the amenities needed. The room was clean and well equipped. I would recommend staying again.

The hillside luxury homes are worth the extra splurge! Sooo comfortable & luxurious. We originally had booked 3 bedroom condo but decided to upgrade our stay after chatting with Anahi & Daisy they told us the hillside luxury homes also have three bedrooms but also a garage and even more room! We were not disappointed.. we will always book here from now on! Aside from the prime location quick walk to village and the gondola we truly felt like we had everything we needed in the room! We can’t wait to come back.

Horrible experience, though the staff was nice and helpful. The first room they put us in smelled like rotten eggs so we requested a different room. That room had a better odor however we ended up sleeping on the pull-out sofa because the bed was full of hair "from down there". We ended up cutting our trip short because we were uncomfortable. The two rooms were in the older/original part of the hotel so I can't speak for the newer rooms but I would absolutely request a room in the newer portion of the hotel. We won't be returning. I would give zero stars for the room and four stars for the staff.

Check in was easy and they gave us a bottle of wine for our anniversary which was very sweet of them. The room was a good size. We had the 1 bdrm with king bed. They placed us in a quieter area which was great as being a light sleeper I get woken easily. The room doesn’t have blackout blinds but was decently dark except first thing in the morning. The fireplace in the lounge area was very warm and nice to sit by. The TV kept doing a weird thing, turning on in the middle of the night so unplugged it during those times. The balcony was nice to sit and watch the snow come down. Very pretty!! Only the the two jacuzzis (further away) were open and it was pretty freezing getting to and from them in the evening. Parking is covered underground and was included so was nice to not have to pay extra. My favourite was the walking trail so when it snowed it looked beautiful!! A nice little walk not far away. The easy access to the village and all the shops was great. The front desk staff were very helpful and always very nice. Was a pleasure talking to them and if we had any requests or questions they were right onto it. Price was good for the time of the year. Slightly cheaper than some others which is always nice but because it’s in the village it’s not as cheap as others that are further away. The fireplace downstairs was always on and felt so warming when we came back to the hotel each time.

We stayed at The Village Lodge on our way to/from Los Angeles to break up our drive to/from Reno, NV. The accommodations were excellent. The Front Desk staff of Shiomara and Maria remembered us from our previous stay. They were both friendly, informative, and made our stay even more pleasant. Kudos to them both! The Village Lodge is well situated amongst restaurants and shops. Will stay there again!

The room was nice and big. The bed was very comfortable. The fire place was a nice bonus. Parking available as well, and felt safe. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Very quiet.

Some of the blinds in the room could need replacing, but not a huge deal.
