Holiday Inn Express Peterborough by IHG

The carpets were dirty and desperately need to be replaced or deep cleaned. Sofa in room 207 had all stains on the edges and face. Room 123 - Shower room was dangerous, the floor was slippery and had no grip on the tiles when wet. One of the receptionist, with long blonde hair was very rude and everything was too much effort for her to do anything! Didn't even offer the meal deal with the pizza and automatically put it through as separate items, subsequently paying more, even though we asked for the meal deals. When questioned, she rolled her eyes back and went to storm off! Not very customer friendly or polite. Evening dinner, we had 2 pizzas and they were under cooked and disgusting especially for the price of them. Breakfast was awful, sausages were meant to be Cumberlands, but tasted like cheap pork ones and were badly cooked. Beans had been kept warm for too long and scambled eggs were sloppy. Barely any orange juice and when asked, they said they'll get to it when they decide! Would we come back?? Erm..... Definitely not, be a place to avoid

My room was above a staff rest area where staff would smoke, making the room stink. Not great! Also, didn't appreciate the knock early on check out day despite check out not being for another 2 hours.

Fantastic, very nice and friendly staff, hope I can get booked in again next year.

As a small family visiting family in the area, we are really glad to have picked this hotel. They had no problems with us checking in at 7:30pm and had the room ready for us. The person who checked us in was super friendly too. The room was very clean and we had no concerns. We all enjoyed our breakfasts.

Lovely hotel clean room comfortable bed and all staff friendly and professional.
