Wonderful 6 night stay at this very special guest house. Stephen and Joseph go the extra mile to make sure all their guests are exceptionally well looked after. I was made to feel very welcome from my arrival to when I left. I was upgraded from the single room to the super king ground floor room which I really appreciated. Everywhere is spotless and full of character. The breakfasts are beautiful with a great choice of fruit, pastries, yoghurts and any combination of a full English breakfast with toast and jams, fresh juices and cereals. There is a fridge in your room and every day there is fresh milk for your tea/coffee, orange juice, water and even some g&t cans. Freshly baked cake left in your room each day - I felt totally spoilt! They were happy to advise on local information and were on hand to help all of the time. Minutes from train station and convenient for lots of destinations. Such a hardworking, genuine couple whom I had the pleasure of meeting. I feel I have made some lovely friends and can’t wait to see you both soon. Thank you for everything.

Perfect place to stay in Torquay. People running it were helpful and very kind. The bedroom was clean and cosy. The location is fantastic, quiet area and very close to town center. The breakfast was awesome and staff served it according to my dietary. If I am coming back to Torquay, for sure I will book this place again.

Joseph & Steve were simply the best hosts we've ever encountered.Their warmth and generosity was incredible. The breakfast was cooked to perfection no pale sausages here and plenty of choice, whatever you fancied you could have. We had complimentary drinks in the fridge along with amazing freshly baked cakes and snacks replaced daily. They even gave us a bottle of prosecco to welcome us after check in. The room was comfy spacious & spotless with nice toiletries included. It's a great location for the smaller coves, Babbacombe, Maidencombe, Ansteys Cove are all just 2 miles away. It's around a 20 Minute walk to Torr Abbey and main beach in Torquay itself. The honesty bar was a fabulous touch and very reasonable indeed. We were sad to leave and were even gifted a departure bag of goodies with the best banana and fig cake I'd ever tasted , we enjoyed it on the beach. Thank you both we loved every minute. Everything was perfect about this little break, the property is in a perfect location for visiting Torquay and the surrounding areas. Garway Lodge is spotlessly clean, the facilities are amazing, there is nothing that the hosts Joseph and Steven haven't provided in the rooms, they really have thought of everything and they both go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible, nothing is too much trouble for them. Their cooked breakfasts are really tasty and set you up for the day. I highly recommend Garway Lodge and would definitely love to return here in the future. Everything, the attention to detail and all the freebies in the room and they even baked fresh flapjack and brownies and when you leave they pack a bag of fruit, water and the homemade baked item. The breakfast was fantastic and genuinely one of my most favourite nights away and I have travelled a vast amount. I will definitely stay again.
