The Golden Sands

This is a great little guest house in a quiet street at the quieter end of Blackpool with superb hospitality. For dog owners there is a park by the Gynn pub for toilet trips though to be honest it's very secluded and though I had no problems I was a little nervous at night. The beach in front of the hotel is also dog friendly. We didnt manage to park in the street but there is street parking parrallel to the Hilton - dont let the faded double yellows put you off. Room was good (though quirkily fitted out) and it was great to have a fridge. The only downside was the toilet which was rather temperamental and had a loose seat but nothing to lose any sleep over. If blackpool were more dog friendly this would be our choice of guest house however i now believe the town is just not somewhere you should take your dog. We'll no doubt return but to Lytham/st Anne's where humans seem to take second place to furry friends :)

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable bed with en suite facitlies - didn't manage to sample breakfast due to very early start. Happy to recommend and would stay again

First time we've stayed here- Warm welcome, friendly owners, and found the double room modern and very clean. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of items. Our dog agrees with us too. One criticism (not the fault of the owners!)- Parking on the road outside the Guest House can be difficult. We found plenty of spaces that were 200m from the premises, however, if you are travelling by car, my advice is to try and check-in and park your car before 4pm, as after that time, on-street parking outside the Guest House is chock-a-block with other resident's cars, as they return from their work. Really impressed with this Guest House- for the price we paid, we WILL be back. 5 Stars !

We arrived late so only really met the owners the next morning, very lovely people helpful and pleasant. The room we had was a superior double it was beautiful big rooms, huge bathroom, flatscreen tv, fridge, everything worked i can honestly say this was the most pleasant stay in Blackpool I have ever had, clean tidy and smart place, will definitely visit again.

Warm welcome, pleasant room to stay in. Close enough to the pier, good stop off point before rest of journey to Scotland. Wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again.

This hotel was outstanding and the service was outstanding as well and the breakfast made it I would deafly recommend and will deafly be back next year

Nice B&B - very clean and comfy. Tasty full English breakfast. Owners very friendly and helpful with local knowledge of places to eat and visit. Very near to seafront.

Clean and friendly guest house very large room and bathroom all new good quility fixtures and fittings The breakfast cooked with good quality local products cooked to perfection by the host and the choice was Excellent I would recommend this guest house and give it 5 stars for service and quility
