Sinai House

A typical Victorian guest house with a lovely lounge, breakfast room and terrace, friendly hosts, a great view from my bedroom, and an exceptional breakfast.

My 'en-suite' single room was quite small, but had a shower cubicle and washbasin, together with a separate WC for my sole use - but that was across the landing, which was acceptable, but a bit of a surprise.

I can’t praise this place enough. It is in a lovely location, just up a hill from the town centre but very peaceful and leafy. My room - and the terrace below it, where any guest can sit in the evening or have breakfast if you want - had a beautiful view down over the treetops to the bay beyond, and huge windows one could open to enjoy it. Though this is seasonal, swifts were constantly flying overhead. Everything was very tranquil, the owners were super friendly and the breakfast was wonderful, with additional extras you could choose as well as the cooked breakfast, of which my favourite was the fresh fruit and yogurt plate. The rooms were clean and well appointed, and I would definitely stay here again if I came to Lynton.

As previous commenters have said, the water pressure in the shower was weak, but this is a very minor niggle and not at all unusual in this country…

The view was absolutely stunning. The welcome and food were excellent, and the room was spotless and comfortable. I will definitely be staying there on my next visit.

een geweldig verblijf! Op onze rondreis met vele adressen het beste. Alles klopt, het ziet er geweldig uit, mooie kamer met prachtig uitzicht, heerlijk ontbijt, zeer gastvrij. Een absolute aanrader.

Gemütliche Unterkunft unweit des Ortszentrums. Von meinem Zimmer hatte ich eine wunderbare Aussicht aufs Meer. Das Frühstücksangebot war sehr vielfältig mit vielen Optionen für englisches und kontinentales Frühstück.

Die Jalousien im Zimmer waren nicht ganz lichtdicht.

Access to Lynway a little difficult as was exit out of the parking space.

Lots of choice for breakfast and what I had was really delicious. The hosts were a lovely couple who made me feel very welcome in their beautiful house. The honesty bar was a nice touch. The location is nothing short of stunning.
