Lovely hotel just outside the centre of Pickering. Lots of parking. Stayed in Garden room on ground floor, very clean with a large comfortable bed. Free quick wi-fi. Breakfast was magnificent the fresh fruit and tasty sausages being outstanding. The landlady was very friendly and helpful. When she found out it was our ruby wedding she left a bottle of prosecco and two glasses in our room. Hotel near north York Moors Railway If I was going to be picky the shower cubicle and shower could have been more up to date but overall the hotel was as good as perfect

Stayed for one night in mid-December. Obviously Pickering is not very busy at this time of year as there were only a few other people staying. Landlady was very welcoming. Room was spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and very ample and service was excellent. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The host was most welcoming and provided tea and cake on arrival. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful with lots of choice. The dog - Tilly - was also very welcoming and friendly. Property could with a bit of TLC and unfortunately we both found the bed to be a bit past its best and overly comfortable
