Candlewood Suites Aurora-Naperville by IHG

I liked the location and room.

I didn't like the television. I would like to have had a smart tv because I watch YouTube.

Location was right off the interstate. The room itself was beautiful, but not well-maintained at all.

Cleaning/maintenance of room was pretty evidently not kept to standards. Blood found on duvet cover, stains on headboard, dental pick on floor just to the side of the bed, massive stain on the bed itself, no towels for shower, no body wash in the shower. Very low water pressure for toilet and shower. Couldn’t get Wi-Fi to work.

It’s was exactly what I needed for the night

Yes, I woke up to bugs in my bed...yes it crawled out from under my blanket! Yikes omg! The shower had black hair In it. Gees.

The bugs, the dirty shower. The bed sunk in the middle.

Do not go. We thought because it was affiliated with IHG, it would be decent. It was not decent. It was so dirty, we declined to shower there. there was only 1 bath towel anyway, so.... This is more of a place for those that do not have a place. Large groups of kids getting high in the back of the hotel, none of them old enough to be doing so. All of the doors propped open, so anyone can walk in. A large recliner pushed right up against the side of the bed, where one would usually get into the bed. Food on the bedside tables, 1 lamp worked in the entire room, no outlets near the bed for phones. Dirt in every corner of the room. The shelves in the bathroom were so dirty, you could se the shapes of what was sitting there previously. No one answered the phone or appeared at the front desk, except to take payment and a $150 deposit, after they make sure we didn't trash the room. LOL, little did we know it already was. And now we have to wait for them to refund the deposit. The guide they have for the TV channels? It was so gross, stained and dirty... I picked it up and instantly dropped it.

This place is shady and dishonest! I booked a room here on the IHG app by mistake. I immediately called them to try to fix the situation. With it being late at night they said this happens all the time please call back in the morning to have the manager cancel the reservation and credit card charge. When I called they said the system doesn’t allow for my room to be refunded. IGH refused to rectify the situation. If this is how they treat people I can only assume the hotel is poorly run!
