Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Carthage by IHG

Iris was very nice and super helpful!! Rooms were ice cold!!!(this is the most important yo me).

Low water pressure in the sink. So low it would not even go into the sink. Just went all on the countertop. But…more importantly the water pressure in the shower was good!

It was definitely a very rough room that should not have been given out. 2nd floor right in front of the elevator - which wasn't the problem. The air conditioner pools water all over the floor in gigantic bucket fashion, the tub was completely rusted on the bottom and there was no shower curtain nor enough towels for 4 people.

We were awaken and terrified with all of our children to a fire alarm, not once but twice and were not notified there would be a test. Two of my children and I take medication to sleep and I also have severe anxiety attacks and when it was happened I was very worried and scared for our safety.

Our ac leaked so bad the room was flooded most of the stay no water pressure toilet didn’t want to flush. Pool was nasty and stunk hot tub had wires hanging out on the bottom. Fire alarm went off at night no one came to see if there was a fire. Front office just sat in and let it go off..

Breakfast was great. AC kept the room at a comfortable temperature. Beds were comfortable.

Tub was rusted which really looked scary. The lobby smelled bad, needs an air freshener. Side entrance did not open with the keycard. There was a huge water leak in the lobby hallway that they were using guest towels to soak up the water.

We stay here every time we come to Carthage

Over all a good hotel. The floors in the rooms need repaired with better quality flooring. Beds were comfy, pool was good, customer services was great. The town has dry water is the only issue,but the hotel can't be held responsible for that.
