Denewood Hotel

The temperature of the second floor was insane and just a fan circulating hot air. Appreciate the heatwave can’t be helped but it was not possible to sleep at all as the room was insanely hot and had the sun until sunset. Floors below were considerably less hot

Large bedroom, clean, plenty of storage. Good to have a fridge. Handy for beach.

Outside decor very off putting. On crossroads junction with traffic lights so noisy.

As others have said - Alan is a most helpful and engaging host; a thoroughly pleasant fellow. The hotel is well situated for the beach and promenade. Room was clean and quiet with a proper bathroom. I spent a lovely day exploring the coast on my folding bike and am looking forward to returning to the Denewood Hotel.

Great location close to the sea and the shops. The room had a mini fridge which was useful. It was a big room. The staff were friendly and helpful. It had a more traditional, personal feel than many hotels these days. The communal TV lounge with a microwave and plates was helpful and they let us use it and store our luggage after checking out. We didn't hear noise from other rooms.

Only a minor thing but it would've been useful to have a second chair in the bedroom so we could both sit at the desk. There were some quite narrow stairs up to the bedroom.

I loved everything about my stay at Denewood from the very moment I arrived
