"Excellent "

Our stay was excatly what we needed, the hotel staff were excellent and very friendly, the hotel was great, very quirky and the veiw from the bedroom window of the cathedral was just brilliant. The restaurant food was also very good. We will be back again.

"Hotel appraisal "

Managed to park on street for the night Good and service was good however horrified to see the stairs! In my 70s and the very steep stairs spoilt my visit I had to go up in hands and knees It should be strongly mentioned in any advertising We were in small attic room and not very impressed

"It's okay for a night"

If they have rooms at the back of the hotel I'd advise you book one of those. Quite noisey where we were at the front as trafic was busy at night. It's an okay place to stay but not really worth the ££'s. You pay for the location which is amazing !!!Breakfast was pretty good.

The location was fantastic, the building was amazing, and the proximity to the Cathedral was fabulous. I don't stay in hotels much and staying there was an amazing experience.

This is a lovely place--I have stayed here many times. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and are happy to lend you a power converter if you come from overseas. It is not fancy, but it gives you a view of the cathedral and it couldn't be more central.

Small room (no. 4) with steep staircase but excellent view of the cathedral from the bedroom window. Powerful shower and the single bed was so comfortable I overslept and missed breakfast! Friendly staff as well.. great location in the centre of Wells

Basically OK but getting our room was a trail and not for the faint hearted. Parking is the big issue, while it was advertised parking is very time restricted and potentially a long hike from the hotel. You can park very quickly outside to unload bags. 🇦🇺
