We enjoyed our stay and really appreciated the dining recommendations provided by Susan. Simon was a wonderful breakfast host as well. The decor of the house is lovely and it is centrally located with easy access to sites, shopping and dining. The room was comfortable but not terribly spacious and the bed was a little lumpy - still a good night's sleep tho! One final comment - they offer drinks and snack plates in the evening but you should check in the morning to make sure they will be around that evening.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Camilla House. The location was great, our hosts were wonderful and the accommodation was terrific. We had a great view and had easy access to local restaurants recommended by our hosts.An excellent breakfast was included with our room.
Both Simon and Susan are perfect hosts, and their Camilla House is an elegant, comfortable B&B, and it is extraordinarily affordable. Penzance in itself is a jewel of a town, and Camilla House is close to the sea, making it seem almost like a resort property. The breakfast was high quality, abundant, and graciously served by Simon himself. I especially appreciated the access to internet in the lounge. Several pubs and restaurants are a short walk away, and up in the commercial hub are substantial restaurants and a movie theatre that throws dinner in with the ticket price. Penzance is a delightful find, indeed.
A lovely Georgian town house in probably the best location in Penzance, Camilla house was an excellent small hotel. The owners were welcoming and informative and provided helpful information about local restaurants.We would recommend eating at Mackerel Sky -Yummy! The rooms were clean, comfy and well equipped.
This place has everything you would wish. We were staying to meet up with a group for a trip to the Scillies. It is well placed for the Scillonian with lots of eating places nearby. (The Yacht Inn is highly recommended - we ate there 4 times out of our four nights in Penzance.) Other people on the trip stayed in hotels and paid a lot more for much worse service.
We had a comfortable and spacious room with a sea view that was within walking distance of the center of town, the harbor, the train station and the bus station. Breakfast was a full English breakfast or any variation we wanted. Nicely prepared and in a pleasant setting. We would return and certainly recommend the Camilla House.
Sue and Simon were very attentive, we had a warm welcome, a lovely stay, delicious food and a warm departure, nice and quiet as well, perfect. Would definately stay again.
