"Disappointing hotel in the middle of Leicester"

4.0

I booked into the hotel ok. I had to walk up to the third floor as there was no lift (not a particular problem as I only had an overnight bag). The room was very small (the door opened onto the bed), the bathroom was fine. The key issue was noise. The walls are paper thin and the noise from other rooms (and the opening and closing of doors) was very loud. Would I stay again? I very much doubt it unless there wasn't a choice

"Not bad, But watch the description before booking"

6.0

The hotel has very small single room with bathroom to share which is upstairs. Please be aware of this and book accordingly. The service was very nice. Free breakfast is good. The hotel is very much in town center and you can enjoy various foods in different restaurants. As the rooms are very close by anyone closing the doors will be disturbing at nights with the sounds. Apart from the above complaints rest all ok.

"Good value for money."

10.0

Great value for money. It's in the centre so can be a little noisy if you are at the front. I'm at De Montfort uni and it's very close and easy to get to from the station.

"Excellent"

8.0

Staff were great, very helpful, knew alot about the city. Also needed to make some local phone calls a couple times during my stay and they were more than willing to let me do so as there was no phone in the room. Breakfast was good. Great location, near a 24 hour McDonalds awesome for late night food runs (we arrived late at night), also walking distance to a large shopping centre and a large variety of pubs and restaurants. One of the few places I've stayed in the UK where we got a king size bed so that was a nice change! No complaints :)

"Cheap and Cheerful"

8.0

Simple hotel, exactly what we needed. On a busy street and hotel is single glazed so very noisy at night. Whole hotel could do with a lick of paint, but it was cheap and cheerful and was what we needed.

"Cheap and cheerful!"

6.0

Good central location and very friendly staff. Continental breakfast was very nice. I couldn't hear any street noise from my room however banging doors from other guests was quite annoying. The room was quite small but my friend and I were only staying one night so it was fine. If you are looking for something cheap and cheerful, I would recommend this hotel. Also adequate for a few nights stay and if you are looking for somewhere close to the city centre shops and restaurants.

"Good location, poor facilities"

4.0

My hotel room was right up on the 3rd floor and there were only stairs. The Wifi reception was terrible, and the service kept dropping off, I had an important business call on Skpe. I asked the staff member to help but she had to leave 40 mins before she was supposed to and she was unable to help in any productive way. The facilities are poor, although the room was clean it was uncomfortable and poorly laid out.

"Family break"

Good location mid week but very noisy Friday night, doors have no automatic closeur and lots banging doors all night. Noise from street too could be an issue if you want a quit night. Staff helpful and pleasant and stayed open due to late arrival

"Useful, small hotel in the city centre"

6.0

Castle Park is a small, corner hotel very close to the Cathedral and related attractions. The hotel operates a let yourself in policy so take your room key. You can phone through or Ring the bell to gain access during normal hours. Room are clean and modernish, though my shower needed a bit of tlc. Breaks is a simple continental affair in the basement. A very reasonable place for a short term stay.
