Candlewood Suites Perrysburg by IHG

Our room was nice but the bed was very uncomfortable. My sister and mom stayed there as well in handicap room. There was no possible way to shower our mother or for her to get off the toilet. My sister and I had to lift her as toilet is very low to ground and she couldn't help us at all. The 1 bar that was in bathroom is out of reach from the toilet. The bed was too tall to even get her in the bed so she slept in a recliner that would not stay reclined. The sidewalk out front had a curb and we had to drag her through grass and rocks to get to the road to go to the restaurant next door. So mainly we struggled with supposed handicap room and it really was not at all. If they would have had to stay 2 nights it would have been very difficult. Our room was fine for the 2 nights except uncomfortable hard bed.

The property itself wasn’t too bad. However the shower was horrible. First room had a broken handle making the shower pure hot with no way to adjust. They didn’t fix it. Just moved me to another room and that shower had no water pressure. I gave up and checked out early.

The room itself was clean, but the bathroom was very dirty. There was urine around the bottom of the toilet and dried feces in the toilet. There was no water pressure in the sink or shower. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear every sound from all adjoining rooms. Would not recommend.

Hotel was nice. Room was large and bed was fairly comfortable. Staff was friendly. Only issue was the long curly black hair we found on one of the bed pillows and another hair like it in the bathroom. During the pandemic, a clean room is essential and these "presents" did not fill us with confidence.

The property itself is nice...I chose a Suite hotel because it is usually more like home. However, the "little things" missing from the room (319) did not make it feel like home: missing: night light, light bulb in under the counter microwave light, instructions on working the TV, channel line up, list of restaurants/amenities nearby, info on using coffee pot (unusual GFI plug), radio alarm clock hard to plug in to working outlet; no laundry bag in the closet for dirty clothes, no note pad and pen in the desk. Those are things we expect, because suite hotels usually have them.

The stay was very nice. We didn't have a working television remote though, so my husband went downstairs to ask for a new one and that didn't work. No big deal. We just got up and changed the channels manually. Everyone was super nice at check in. We will be back. We just wanted to get away. There is also plenty of eateries nearby and the casino is only 10 mins away ago with the mall being a 15 min drive away. We had a blast.

One of the nicest hotels I've been in for an affordable price point. Has a big refrigerator and burner too. Clean, bright and comfy bed. Hallways were also clean and bright.

It was well kept and smelled good and inviting.

Just a one night stay with my girlfriend. Have stayed here before and had nothing but positive experiences. That is why we chose to go back to this hotel despite others being a little cheaper
