Loved the location, staff were all so nice, rooms are a touch dated and need a broom so you can sweep up the sand each day :-)

"Tangalooma Review"

The resort is lovely however its a bit outdated and could do with some renovating. The food options are really disappointing - expensive & not great quality. I definitely recommend for anyone staying there to take their own food as there are bbqs to cook with. We did the North Moreton Island Tour & our bus broke down on the way back to the resort - air con wasn't working and I almost fainted in the bus because it was so hot. The second bus that came to get us kept overheating so we had to keep stopping on the way back to the resort. Definitely don't believe its worth the $140 pp we paid for. I did attempt to get a refund but the Manager didn't bother calling me back which was disappointing. It was our wedding anniversary so we tried not to let the negatives get to us & still managed to enjoy our stay despite the food & island tour.

Unique and beautiful place. Lots of activities and tours available on the island. Feeding the dolphins at night was the highlight. Wish I had longer there,

"The best surprise "

10.0

Our three day tour of the Great Barrier Reef was cancelled last minute and as we didn’t have a room available in Brisbane we booked Tangalooma very last minute and what an amazing wonderful surprise as we had room B08 right outside pool and just down from restaurants.. Fully recommend booking 4x4 and travel the island and stop at the Gutter Bar on south of the island:) the Fire and Stone restaurant is amazing at Tangalooma and the Dolphins were one for the bucket list... Also the private Ferry is hands down wonderful:)

A bit pricey, but totally worth it to hand feed wild dolphins!

Check out time is inconvenient and micro wave in needed in the room. Option for meals is too limited.

So many activities and a great mix of families, couples and friends. Food a little disappointing and very salty no matter what we purchased.

Excellent customer service (Jake at quadbikes was so good we went back a second time with him), and Tee in reception was a brilliant personality and help. I could go on and on about the fantastic staff. Wonderful activities (with experienced staff) such as sand tobogganing (funniest bus drive commentary and entertaining demonstration/instruction); parasailing, eco ranger commentary on whale watch was brilliant; dolphin feeding staff excellent; food and service excellent (one chef went beyond the call of duty for our son), our room (standard) was wonderful with a beautiful view, and the opt out of some or all housekeeping service was a welcome option (bonus to get wine in exchange!) but more importantly, the emphasis on being thoughtful about environmental issues was appreciated. So many activities to enjoy, positive staff everywhere, all our needs were met, children were respected, we all felt cared for. Weather was perfect - the best holiday! Tangalooma Island Resort felt magical for 9 days of relaxation and fun. I would do it again in a heart-beat. Thanks Tangalooma Island Resort.

The resort spreads across a large open area - great for kids to run around! Beautiful beach and sand desert, good facilities. Would be great if cafe opened a little earlier for coffee. Also not a lot of options for dining throughout the day unless you eat atvset times. Overall we loved our stay and will definitely return!
