The Great House Hotel & Restaurant

It had a lovely friendly atmosphere. There were 13 of us celebrating my son’s birthday, the dining room we had was a perfect size, so we had our own private room. We stayed the night in a comfortable bedroom and both of us enjoyed the breakfast.

Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast.

Shower wasn't working (no water pressure) in the morning. Room felt a little damp, needed some decorating.

Fire alarm in the morning can’t be helped

Mold in room was moved to another room with no hot water so couldn’t take a shower

The staff were friendly the place was spotless really nice location

The rooms could been a little cooler we turned the radiators off and opened the window but was still warm but not a problem still was a lovely place Rather be warm with heating and non atall 😅

The property was easy to find with good parking. The room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed.All the staff were very nice and welcoming.Exellent restaurant at the hotel, we both enjoyed a beautifully cooked meal in the evening and would highly recommend eating there.

The room could do with redecorating it was a little tired.

Location and staff

The pictures for the rooms on booking.com made it look much nicer. My room was very outdated and many bits of furniture were broken or overly worn.
