Wonderful stay in a lovely comfortable room and very tasty breakfasts. See you again next year.

We were expecting good things from reading past reviews, and mostly it lived up to our expectations. My only disappointment was that it was not as quiet as expected, with cars on a nearby road evident throughout the evening and into the night. Also, although Covid precautions were brilliant, it made contacting The Farthings difficult and I tried several times prior to our arrival, without success, to confirm check-in times and establish whether a left-luggage facility was available

Lovely guest house just south of the Walls in York. Our base for a music festival weekend at the Fulford Arms. Very convenient for the festival and town. Friendly folks and comfortable stay.

Read the reviews beforehand and was not disappointed. I had the double room next to the dining room Breakfasts are done in two sittings due to Covid restrictions, mine was at 8am which suited me fine. Breakfast was ordered by night before, plenty available and well cooked. Room was comfortable and slept well all 3 nights there. There are a couple of ways to get into the town centre 10-15 minutes and same to the railway station. Rowntree Park is also a short walk away. There are shops and places to eat close by. Definitely would stay again when in York again.

Everything went really well nice big room, lovely breakfast. Location excellent just a short walk along riverside into centre of York. Free parking no problems. Excellent host. Will definitely recommend to others.
