Wanslea Guest House

Steve en Tina zijn een superlieve en attente gastheer en gastvrouw. Je voelt je direct welkom en ze maken je het echt naar de zin. Hebben goede tips voor lokale bezienswaardigheden, praktische zaken en gezellige eettentjes. De koffie bij het ontbijt was voortreffelijk.

My dad and I travelled down from Glasgow on our motorbikes. The Wanslea was the ideal base for our trip. Room was immaculate and comfortable, breakfast was great and there was a spacious car park for the bikes. Location is great too, only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Ambleside. Highly recommend the Wanslea.

Can’t fault it

The owners were so lovely and welcoming. I stopped for Windermere marathon and they were so supportive and made me some toast and coffee before breakfast time the morning of the marathon. The next morning we were talking lots, they are just lovely. Thank you.

I liked everything. I do just wish it was dog friendly and I’d be booking 3 rooms for next year! But I understand the reasons.

Everything was 1st class.Breakfast was delicious and of good quality.Kettle etc in room an added bonus.Brilliant hosts with good knowledge of surrounding areas.Will be back.Homemade jam delicious.

Ultra critical, parking but seriously it’s a 5 minute walk..

Rooms were fantastic and comfortable, breakfast excellent, hosts nothing was to much trouble. If you fancy a nice break then come here , you won't be disappointed
