Staff were excellent, friendly, on hand to answer any questions, and really helpful with discussing the hikes within the area. Breakfast was served at the time stated, and tasted really nice. Room was exactly as stated, clean and a really comfy bed.

Great location. Free parking, very welcoming and helpful owners. Lovely big bedroom, light and airy with very nice bathroom. Comfortable chairs in room with a good size TV. Very nice breakfast.

Steve and Tina were wonderful hosts who made us feel at ease and at home all throughout our stay. They were flexible and warm, Tina's homemade cakes were simply great, and Steve lent us his own book on the Lake District peaks. They also offered other perks such as getting a discount in some local restaurants, and using a parking permit in some parking places. The room was impeccable and really comfortable, and we loved the breakfast each day! Moreover, the house is full of character.

All was good! I would only suggest having recycling facilities, though this may be also dependent on the local council regulations.

Wanslea Guest House is central to Ambleside and there are plenty of car parks near by you can use whilst staying. Steve and Tina were friendly and very helpful. The place was clean and room was lovely. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast was also delicious.

The location was a blessing (for all the hikes starting in and close to Ambleside) and rather convenient in terms of public transportation

“Didn’t like” is too strongly worded. I’d say, for me personally as a yogurt and granola breakfast type, it would have been a full 10/10 experience if there had been a larger yogurt and other dairy options for breakfast. Our hosts have been absolutely fantastic and incredibly accommodating and attentive, however!

The hosts were very welcoming and gave great insight to the local area. Breakfast was great with excellent choice. Hosts went above and beyond.
