Groarty House & Manor B&B

Very nice B&B outside Londonderry. Good breakfast, very peaceful. Free car parking. The owner was very kind, and the house is a typical Irish countryside one. Just 8 minutes away from the city centre. Keep in touch with Owners in order to plan your arrival time

Re Mhomd & caravan site . Good location for Derry but Most expensive site in 3 weeks travelling. Toilets grotty, no refill of toilet paper in 2 days, electric connection in toilet suspect, toilet waste cover does not close, this is merely a spare bit of hard standing at side of shed.

Margarethe and John were lovely. Breakfast was amazing. Definitely recommend this place.A lovely place-home away from home.

Slight arrival entrance issue, but sorted within 15 mins, so we were in within the 1/2 hr. Decent sized room and en-suite shower room. Not the most modern or up to date, but everything worked as it should have. Quiet apart from the outside smoking area, and being a warm night, the open windows allowed the conversation, if not the smoke thank goodoness, to enter the room; the guests/smkers, may need a word of wrarning that their conversation content can be heard loud and clear - wasn't a good thing; still it wasn't long lasting. Breakfast was booked the day before and not on a list, just told to us, so th8inking on the spot maybe should have been better with a list and a pencil to do befre bedtime? The vegetarian options, weren't great. Still, did the job for the night at a reasonable price.

We stayed at Groarty House and Manor for two nights in May 2024. John and Margaret are great hosts. The rooms are large with a walk in shower and very comfortable and you get the use of the lounge area. Property is just outside of the city in a lovely quiet area with beautiful grounds. Highly recommend staying here.

We had booked for a one night stay with a friend who'd never been to Derry the same as us. Our rooms were spacious with comfortable beds with a lovely wet room type ensuite. Even though we had tea making items in the rooms and a TV we were told we could use the main lounge area if we wanted too. That was a bonus for us all. We had a good choice for a cooked breakfast in the morning.

Lovely place to stay for a few nights. Margaret and John so accommodating. Margarets breakfast and service of guests is A*. Would recommend and would stay again for sure. <3 Lovely rural location despite being close to city. Thanks for a nice stay guys!
