Groarty House & Manor B&B

A wonderful house in the countryside 5 minutes from the city. Leigh Ann was our hostess and she is wonderful. Many farms in the area with sheep and cows. We enjoyed driving on the country roads looking at the scenery. Breakfast was nice and Leigh Ann is very helpful with suggestions when going into the city. The room could use a little updating but that is my only negative comment.

A a party of six motorcyclists, John welcomed us and kindly allocated secure parking out of the rain for all our bikes in his own workshop. The rooms were spacious, very clean and warm. Margaret showed us where we could dry out our wet gear and John even gave us a lift into Derry and picked some of us up from town later that night as it wasn’t too late. Breakfast was really good, with plenty of choice. We received a very warm and friendly welcome from John & Margaret, they went out of their way to ensure six soggy bikers had great night stay. If you ever want to visit this part of Northern Ireland and see the sights from Giants Causeway & the beautiful scenery along the coastal road, then this guest house makes an ideal base. Great birthday hot tub party. Celebration for my 60th birthday lots of fun and laughter. Great to have for private events hot tub sauna and bbq. Margaret and John are fabulous hosts and made sure we had a great time. The weather was fantastic for March so that helped too. Will definitely be back xx

Margaret & John were perfect & worker Leigh-Anne was great too, the bent over backwards to help me more than once!!I genuinely & sincerely loved my stay at Groarty House & Manor because i enjoy walking & like staying in areas a little rural. If you appreciate the above or have a car, then come here & get away from the noise & traffic of the city centre. If you want to be near pubs or restaurants, then perhaps you won't appreciate the 25/30'ish minute walk to the nearest one. It's near Burt in Donegal so i was a happy 1 week resident.

I was welcomed by the lovely hostess Margaret, the reception is spotless, breakfast request taken and shown my room, absolutely beautiful. I was then offered a sauna which I gladly took, these hosts are wonderful, I was even given a lift into town later so I could sample the joys of Derry. Would recommend this beautiful accommodation and perfect hosts anytime. Thank you
