Groarty House & Manor B&B

We stopped here with family and the place is brilliant . If you stop in Derry there isn't a lot to do in the city and seems rundown in certain areas . Some museums and churches to visit but mainly the places to see are on the coast and you need a car . Plenty of car parking space at Groarty House . Avis and Hertz rent cars out at the airport which is about seven miles from the city and a couple more miles to Groarty House . It will save you taxi money from the airport + you are able to visit places . The hotel is warm and very comfortable with a lounge you can use . Breakfast is cereal and a cooked breakfast - very filling . The rooms are large and have a walk in shower - no complaints there . A lovely place to stay . If you dine out there is Link 48 and Caterina's which are good + The Cosh Bar which is near . I would definitely stop here again as it is a great base to set off from - parking in town - easy - not expensive . The couple who run the place are really friendly and if you need help with visiting/restaurants they will help you - get it booked and hire a car and you will have a great little break and see a lot of Ireland .

WOW is the first word. Upon arrival at 21:00hrs I was greeted by the hosts who were possibly the happiest people I have ever been greeted by. Paperwork sorted, breakfast time given and was shown to my room. This place is spotless in every way. Beds are very comfortable, grounds are lovely. Woke up the following morning to birds singing. Went down to the breakfast room and again greeted by the hosts with enthusiasm. I have to say the breakfast was 10/10. These hosts and this establishment should be the guide by which all B&Bs and hotels go by. If every other establishment was as good as this place booking hotels would be much easier. 10 out of 10 to this hotel.

The hosts went out of their way to accommodate me and were very hospitable and friendly. A great place to relax.

Great place to stay, the hosts are fantastic the place is spotless (and cleaned daily) 7mins from City Centre. Best sleep I've had in ages. I can't say enough nice things about this place, I would highly recommend

Excellent B & B Margaret & John looked after us well for 2 nightsl. Super bathroom/shower, good wi fi & breakfast was good too, We ate at Mollie Malones which is approx 1 mile away last night large portions & recommended. We parked in Quayside multi storey for a wlkabout the town as it was easiest, cheap & easy to find. If you want to stay in the countryside with superb views approx 3 miles out of Londonderry this is the place. Nice lounge on ground floor too

We had a lovely visit. Margaret was delightful. Breakfast delicious and hearty!

Short stay. Excellent hosts. Exceptional value for money, Clean, comfortable. Lovely morning breakfast, beautiful breakfast with a choice of traditional or fried. Will be returning when I next visit the county. 100% recommended.

I thought the property in August and arrived at 1:30 to find no one living there the whole place locked up I rang the doorbell seven I went to another house on the property where there was a sign go to the Manorhouse where I had already been I rang the phone no one answered I’m a 72-year-old woman travelling by myself and I had a panic attack when I realised that the accommodation I had booked in August was not going to be available I shan’t be using Expedia again and I certainly won’t be recommending grow the house to anyone
