"A lovely relaxing holiday in a beautiful apartment."

The wonderful views from a very clean well equiped top floor apartment. Lots of little extras [welcome tray of goodies and toiletries etc] Beautiful hotel grounds with access to a restored narrow gauge railway. Friendly owners.

"A great base for exploring North Devon"

A large airy apartment, small kitchen area with all facilities and comfy beds. The house is set in a beautiful garden and has a welcoming public lounge. Very welcoming hosts.

Small changes to the decor of the apartment could have made it more homely - brighter furnishings, table lamps.

Was a stunning Victorian property, really lovely views of the hills and if you enjoy steam trains- it’s perfect for you! Access through a private gate to the platform to go on the steam trains

I just wish that the shower had been a bit bigger or have a bath in my apartment, but the shower that is in there is a nice and powerful

"We enjoyed our stay at the Moorland, it was beatifulle and serene, and the host was lovely."

We had a full english breakfast on our final morning, and it was scrumptius. We loved the spacious apartment, the decor was lovely, and the host very friendly and informative. The surrounding area is beautiful, and the veteran railway definitely worth a visit.

The shower water is heated by an electrical installation in the shower, which may be common in England, but to us seemed dangerous as there is risk of electrocution if the water somehow should get in contact with the electrical appliance. Nothing was wrióng with the installation, but in denmark we have hot water pipes feeding into showers, and not electrical "boxes", that are deemed unsafe. i dont know how common this is. The bathroom itself was tastefull and clean, and there was also a spa tub.

Beautiful location, stunning gardens- all immaculately kept. Huge rooms with interconnecting bathroom (family room). Very peaceful. Breakfast was of a very high quality, both the cold and hot food. The owners were helpful and friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful, relaxing place, with lovely grounds. Very quiet and comfortable. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Easy car parking. Ideal situation, just a few minutes from stunning coastline.
