Moorlands

We loved the location and the settings in a peaceful garden. Lynton, Lynmouth and the Valley of Rocks are only a short drive away. The family room was spacious and had a separate twin room. It was nice that you could open the curtains and the windows were large which gave a nice view of the garden. The lounge and dining room were nicely decorated too. There’s a fridge for guests to store food and drink which was helpful to keep a bottle of milk and wine chilled. And to top it all Mark and Daisy were such lovely hosts making sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious too and set us up for the day. We loved that the Woody Bay railway is accessible from the garden.

such a lovely place to stay! The owners were so welcoming and kind, the room was great with everything we needed and the grounds are so beautiful. We were a little worried about getting around because we don't drive but there's a bus stop at the end of the drive which got us everywhere we needed and wanted to go. The surrounding areas are very nice too and only a short bus ride away, it was brilliant to explore the whole area.

The property is set in amazing grounds and right next to the steam railway. The owners were very friendly and helpful in so many ways and I had many opportunities just to chat. The breakfast was fantastic and good WIFI and TV services.

We had such a great time at Moorlands! The hotel is very nicely decorated, the room as big, comfy and very clean! The shower was fantastic! Great water pressure and hot. Breakfast was delicious and Desi and Mark were lovely! We will go back for sure!

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Warm welcome, clear instructions and communication from the get go. Beautiful place and surroundings and the room I had was inviting, comfy, clean, well prepared and little personal touches that made it that little bit extra. I had to work late and was desperate for a comfy room, a bath and coffee for the morning to make way for an early start, they put breakfast out early for me and made sure I had a room with a bath with plenty of coffee, biscuits and some cheeky little macaroons!

That I didn’t have the opportunity to stay in it for longer!
