Moorlands

We stayed at Moorland for a nearby sports event. Daisy went above and beyond by serving breakfast an hour earlier than usual so we could eat before the event! She also helped us find a ride to the venue. This really shows the hospitality and attentiveness of the hosts. We felt very welcome and truly enjoyed our stay! The area around the hotel is peaceful and green, with birds singing and a small train station where you can take a relaxing ride on an old train. We loved everything about this place.

To be more mobile, it's best to travel by car, as there is no restaurant on the property, which can make dinner a bit tricky

I stayed at Moorlands 2 times already, and cannot wait to go again. The calm atmosphere, the beautiful surroundings and most importantly the superior care and welcoming that the people offer there is beyond anything I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. It is a truly exceptional place.

This is our second stay at Moorlands. It’s in a beautiful setting with working steam railway at the bottom of the garden. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Breakfast is made with exceptional quality ingredients and staff are friendly, relaxed and helpful. Couldn’t ask for more.

The location was excellent to head out on coastal walks a short drive away. The view was the lounge window was excellent. we saw a beautiful sunset over the hills with the sea in the distance. Desi who runs the hotel was very helpful and friendly. She had useful tips for things to do nearby. The gardens were beautiful. The apartment was comfortable. There was a fully stocked kitchen and books and games in the lounge.

One very minor thing. Maybe a coffee table to put your drinks on while relaxing on the settees. We just put a coaster on the carpet
